Joseph Robinette Biden Jr was from a (supposedly) working class family, though after his family moved from Scranton, Pennsylvania to Claymont and then Wilmington, Delaware, they somehow found the money to send young Mr Biden to tony Archmere Academy. Archmere is a non-diocesan Catholic school within the Diocese of Wilmington, with its tuition today, $27,800, almost double that of the diocesan high school, Padua Academy’s $14,300.

Growing up, Mr Biden followed in the family’s Roman Catholic tradition, sending his children to Archmere as well. But, alas! Mr Biden’s campaign website, despite it’s intensive timeline biography, never mentions that he is (supposedly) Catholic.

About a month ago, the National Catholic Reporter asked if American Catholic voters could make Mr Biden the next President, noting that “Nearly 60 percent of white Catholics supported (Donald) Trump nationally, a higher percentage than any other GOP presidential contender in the past 20 years,” and that Mr Trump captured 52% of the total Catholic vote in 2016, versus 45% for Hillary Clinton.

Clinton missed an opportunity to make a strong case to white Catholics. She never campaigned in Wisconsin during the general election. When Clinton was invited to speak at a St. Patrick’s Day event at the University of Notre Dame, a touchstone of Catholicism, her Brooklyn-based campaign team declined, confident in its sophisticated data projections that white Catholics were not the audience Clinton needed to reach.

The New York Times famously pointed out that Hillary Clinton, who had already lost one presidential campaign, and her young, groovy, with-it number crunching campaign staff, led by Robby Mook, ignored the advice of Bill Clinton, who had only won two presidential campaigns.

But, I digress. America magazine, a Jesuit publication, claimed, in November of 2017, that Joe Biden’s Catholic faith is on full display on his current book tour.

Now, he seems to have left that behind. Not only is his Catholicism not mentioned on his campaign website — at least, not as far as I delved into it — but his campaign store, at least for this month, is loaded up with things like the Joe Biden “Trans Pride Crewneck T-Shirt,” for $27.00, something that Mr Biden’s (purported) faith opposes, along with various other homosexual “Pride” items; the Catholic Church holds that homosexuality is gravely disordered and that homosexual activity can never be approved.

But now we have the real kicker. From The Washington Post:

Joe Biden reverses position on federal funding of abortion after Democratic outcry

In a dramatic reversal, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said Thursday he no longer supports a ban on federal funding for abortions, known as the Hyde Amendment, a move he announced after a day of sharp criticism from campaign rivals and key Democratic interest groups.

The former vice president announced the change during a speech at the Democratic National Committee’s African American Leadership Council summit in Atlanta, telling the crowd that, in an environment where the Roe v. Wade decision on abortion is under attack in Republican-held states, he could no longer support a policy that limits funding.

“We’ve seen state after state including Georgia passing extreme laws,” Biden said. “It’s clear that these folks are going to stop at nothing to get rid of Roe.”

“Circumstances have changed,” he said.

On Wednesday, his campaign issued a statement confirming that, unlike much of the rest of the field, Biden was not calling for a repeal of the Hyde Amendment, which dates to 1976, when Biden was a young senator.

But the hard left of the Democratic Party went nuts, and the strong, rock-solid former Vice President caved. Now the 47^th Vice President of the United States supports repeal of the Hyde Amendment. In other words, he wants his parish priest and the Most Reverend W. Francis Malooly, D.D., the Bishop of Wilmington, Delaware, who are paid salaries and thus have to pay income tax on the money they earn, to have to violate their faith in about the worst way they could, and have to pay for abortions.

Canon 1398 of the Code of Canon Law provides that:

“a person who procures a successful abortion incurs an automatic (latae sententiae) excommunication.” This means that at the very moment that the abortion is successfully accomplished, the woman and all formal conspirators are excommunicated.

Among those who incur the latae sententiae excommunication are those who pay for it. While being taxed for everything is not direct financial support, the (nominally) Catholic Mr Biden would have his own bishop, and every other priest, deacon and bishop in the United States, and every Catholic taxpayer in the country, paying money to procure abortions.

By his prior actions, Bishop Malooly should have already denied Mr Biden communion, but he has not yet done so. By his prior actions, if Mr Biden approaches to receive the Host, his priest should deny it to him, but if that has ever happened, I’ve never seen it documented, and that would be a huge story in the media.

But now? Bishop Malooly needs to be asking himself, what more does his faithful parishioner have to do to deserve not only denial of communion, but excommunication?

Joe Biden is simply not Catholic. Mr Biden, regardless of what he claims his faith to be, worships at the very secular altar of liberalism, a faith which requires wholehearted support of homosexuality, same-sex ‘marriage,’ ‘transgenderism,’ and an unlimited, unrestricted abortion license. Bishop Malooly should go ahead and recognize this, and take the appropriate action: excommunicate Mr Biden.

In reality, that shouldn’t bother Mr Biden in the slightest; he abandoned his purported faith long ago.
