Since taking the helm at CBS News, Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss has shown no fear, and her response to Hollywood leftist darling George Clooney's attack on her is truly...magnifique.

It all started after the 64-year-old actor took a swipe at Weiss' leadership, of course, using broad claims, lacking any detail, about Weiss. The comments came after she pulled a 60 Minutes piece about the alleged treatment of illegal aliens in a CECOT prison in El Salvador.

She later explained the reason was that it wasn’t ready, RedState reported.

"My job is to make sure that all stories we publish are the best they can be. Holding stories that aren’t ready for whatever reason — that they lack sufficient context, say, or that they are missing critical voices — happens every day in every newsroom,” Weiss' statement read. “I look forward to airing this important piece when it’s ready."

In a recent Variety interview, Clooney claimed that Weiss was “dismantling CBS” amid his wider critique of the network's settlement with President Donald Trump over its deceptively edited 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris.

Weiss responded to Clooney’s attack in a statement to The New York Post, inviting him to come to her place of work for a tour to learn about the news business. Ouch.

“Bonjour, Mr. Clooney! Big fan of your work,” Weiss statement shared by the CBS parent company Skydance read. “It sounds like you’d like to learn more about ours.”

“This is an open invitation to visit the CBS Broadcast Center, where I’m spending the holidays working to relaunch the Evening News with my colleagues,” the statement added. “Tune in January 5.”

In the Variety piece, Clooney also blasted networks that settled their lawsuits, claiming CBS did so that Trump "would approve Paramount’s sale to Skydance,” without any evidence. The deal went through in August, with Paramount’s new owner, Skydance Media, led by David Ellison, bringing on Weiss.

“If CBS and ABC had challenged those lawsuits and said, ‘Go, [..] yourself, we wouldn’t be where we are in the country,” Clooney said. “That’s simply the truth.”

The troll by Weiss of the Ocean's Eleven star, who recently officially became a French citizen, was layered given Clooney's recent role on Broadway playing legendary journalist Edward R. Murrow.

This is exactly how you crush lies and accusations from the left, with daylight. Well done.
