In a clip from the Rapid Response account for the Trump 47 White House, President Trump and Melania, and Texas Governor Greg Abbot are shown meeting with first responders near a giant pile of the destruction left by the floods.

The next clip showed a video of some of the heroes who responded to the horrific flooding in Kerr County- stepping in to shake hands with Trump and the First Lady.

A third clip showed the President and Melania continuing to shake hands with local firefighters as they thanked them for their heroic efforts during the catastrophic flooding.

Some people even took notice of the simple gesture the firefighters did during the greeting line, which was taking off their hats or helmets before shaking the hand of Melania — a nice old-fashioned gesture of respect given to our First Lady.

During a roundtable, President Trump praised the response by the hundreds of people who pulled together to help during the floods.

"We just were making a little tour of the area. It's hard to believe the devastation... I've never seen anything like it... We just visited with incredible families," Trump said. "They've been devastated. They lost their child or two children. It's just hard to believe. I've never seen anything like it."

Trump then said the "first responders, the sheriff's office, all of police, law enforcement — they've done an unbelievable job."

The President then talked about the tragic loss of life of the young girls from the Christian girls' camp, Camp Mystic.

"They were there because they loved God," Trump said. "And as we grieve this unthinkable tragedy, we take comfort in the knowledge that God has welcomed those little beautiful girls into his comforting arms in heaven."

President Trump then turned over the moment to the First Lady, who revealed that the people at Camp Mystic gave her a special gift.

"My deepest sympathy to all of the parents who lost beautiful young souls ... We are grieving with you. Our nation is grieving with you," Melania said.

"We just met with the wonderful families," she added. "We pray with them. We hug, we hold hands, and they share their stories. And I met beautiful young ladies, they gave me this special bracelet from the Camp [Mystic]."

"In honor of all of the little girls that lost their lives," Melania continued. "So we are here to honor them and also to give the support and help. And I will be back. I promised to them. And I just pray for them and giving them my strength and love."
