Former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre reportedly wanted to be the next co-host of ABC's "The View" before she had to opt for a tell-all book to try and rewrite history and her part in the Biden cover-up.
Following the news about KJP's book, "Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines," those in former President Joe Biden's circle came out and blasted her as a grifter and more, Politico reported.
In the book, Jean-Pierre claims that she's done with the Democratic Party after working in former Presidents Barack Obama's and Biden's administrations, embracing life now as an Independent.

And that news isn't going over well. The response from Democratic sources and former White House insiders about KJP's book has been swift and brutal.
"What her publisher means to tell readers is that she is INCOMPETENT, not independent. Just incompetent. But we don't need to read about itβ we watched it," a prominent Democratic source said to the NY Post.
"Put this 'bombshell' at the top of the Trump book-burn pile. Right next to Jake Tapper's own toothless tome," the source added.
The report read that:
Another top Democrat exclaimed, "I can't look away" when asked for their reaction to the forthcoming work.
One ex-official who worked with Jean-Pierre said that the press secretary's former colleagues had been "cackling in chats all day" and that they believe the pivot can be explained by "money."
Another insider claimed this book came about when her attempts to be on the ABC talk show fell through.
The report went on:
According to one of the former officials and another former official, Jean-Pierre had been hoping for a post-White House job as a cohost on The View, following the template of her predecessor, Jen Psaki, who departed the job after just more than a year for an anchor job at MSNBC.
But no such opportunity materialized for Jean-Pierre, a factor three of her former colleagues surmised that likely led to the book."
RedState's Bonchie highlighted the Axios report about the efforts by KJP's New York-based publicist, Gilda Squire, who reportedly was tasked with getting the former press secretary on "The View" once a week:
Zoom in: Some former Biden aides said Jean-Pierre's tenure was complicated by her work with a New York-based publicist, Gilda Squire.
Jean-Pierre was the focus of several magazine profiles and appeared on "The View" in New York. At one point, she wanted to appear on the show once a week.
Within the White House, there were concerns about Squire being looped in on internal emails regarding Jean-Pierre's profiles and promotional appearances.
Concerns about Jean-Pierre's self-promotion were even raised with the White House counsel's office because some staffers felt torn between their administration duties and helping Jean-Pierre promote herself, according to a former White House aide familiar with the internal dynamics.
RedState reached out to ABC's "The View" for comment, but did not receive a comment at the time of publication. We'll report back if we do.
