An Open Letter to "Mitch" and "Chuck"

Dear “Mitch” and “Chuck,”

Retire. Now. Both of you. Seriously, leave Washington, D.C. and never come back.

You are the reason why this city is in the condition it is in. You are why Americans’ trust in government is at an all-time low. You are why Donald Trump was elected president. Americans are fed up with politics as usual, which the two of you embody perhaps more than anyone else.

We Americans are fed up with politicians like you playing the blame game during a government shutdown, costing hardworking taxpayers $6 billion per week, all because you 5-year-old acting petulant children are too immature and more petty than an elementary playground to sit your a**es down around the same table like actual adults and do your freaking jobs.

Any mature adult with an actual job would be “fired like a dog” if they showed they were unable to do their jobs. Why should it be different for those who claim to “lead” our nation?

It shouldn’t be any different. And you both know it.

But, you still line your silk pockets even as thousands of federal workers, including those who literally sacrifice their lives for this country every day, are left to wonder when they’ll receive their next paycheck.

It’s time you join the rest of us in acknowledging that you are doing more harm than good for this country. As Republican Sen. John Kennedy (La.) said recently, “our nation was founded by geniuses but is being run by idiots.” You, Mitch and Chuck, are the “idiots” to whom Kennedy was referring.

It’s time to go. Let others who give a damn about something other than themselves take charge for once. You want to be public servants? Do the American public a service and get the hell out.

Preferably much sooner rather than later.

With much disrespect,

One of 330 million mad as hell Americans
