Hillary’s rumored running mate, Housing Secretary Julian Castro, is cooking up a scheme to reallocate funding for Section 8 housing to punish suburbs for being too white and too wealthy.
The scheme involves super-sizing vouchers to help urban poor afford higher rents in pricey areas, such as Westchester County, while assigning them government real estate agents called “mobility counselors” to secure housing in the exurbs.Anticipating NIMBY resistance, Castro last month threatened to sue suburban landlords for discrimination if they refuse even Section 8 tenants with criminal records.
Sure why not. I am sure this landlord who rented to a Section 8 recipient would agree.
SOUTHEAST PORTLAND, Ore. — A landlord said Friday a former tenant left a house on Southeast 91st Avenue filled with nearly 50,000 pounds of trash. Hazeem said the woman who trashed the place had lived there with a few other family members for 14 years. She received housing subsidies, Hazeem said, as part of the federal government’s Section 8 voucher program.

Laura Wattenberg, founder of the baby-name website babynamewizard.com, recently assessed popularity trends among 2015’s baby names, and evaluated the “Isis” decline. She estimated that it dropped in popularity in the U.S. by 70.5 percent in just one year — the biggest one-year drop seen in any name in history, based on records compiled by the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA).

A supreme court judge from British Columbia has ordered a father to refer to his 11-year-old daughter with male pronouns only, appointing the child a guardian “to protect her interests.” The daughter of the two estranged parents, who apparently suffers from gender dysmorphia, will continue to take hormone blockers to delay female puberty per court order, against the father’s wishes.
If you want to know where our courts are going, look to our neighbors and the EU to see what idiocy will soon land on our shores. In this case we get to see where the international court system will soon be trying to drag us, the courts torturing a troubled young girl who is going through a difficult time. I don’t know how anyone could possibly think an 11 year old child could make this decision at the best of times, but when her parents are divorcing ?
