Middle East Tensions Are About to Get Hotter (and It's All on Joe Biden)

The Middle East is on fire, and that fire grows hotter as President Joe Biden alternates between throwing gasoline on it and shutting off the fire hoses.

Iran is threatening retaliation against Israel for the death of one of its top military leaders, Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a senior commander in Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps. Israel launched a strike that killed Zahedi, who was involved in the training of Hamas fighters. Iran is furious over the move, and there have been multiple reports that the nation is not only set on attacking Israel but also the U.S., should we interfere.

The Biden administration is currently saying that "We stand with Israel" if Iran should attack, but at the same time, they are actively trying to undermine Israel's ability to wage war against the Islamic terrorist forces that launched the horrendous October 7 attacks and serve as proxies for Iran.

Biden's weakness on Israel can, in part, be traced to the Michigan primary, where 18 percent of Democratic voters refused to vote for Joe Biden. In a panic, the Biden administration decided the loud pro-Hamas voices calling for Biden to condemn Israel's response were the ones costing him votes. So they have changed their policy stance and have told Israel, "We don't really stand with you all that much."

The Biden administration is also filled with Critical Race Theorists who see Israel as a white oppressor and the residents of the Gaza Strip as the oppressed of color. In their eyes, Israel has no right to exist, and the land it is on belongs to a made-up nation called "Palestine." They're all a bunch of academic activists with no real experience in foreign policy but a lot of experience in assigning racial victimhood to whomever they deem oppressed.

Couple that with the Biden administration's constant need to appease Iran, and you've created a monster that does not have any real fear of the U.S. retaliating should Iran do something really nuts like start a nuclear war in the Middle East. Or any war in general.

Prior to Biden coming into office, Iran was not feeling empowered. Russia was not feeling empowered. China was not feeling empowered. These three nations are forming a new Axis of Evil, and they feel free to do so because Biden and his administration govern out of fear of the election cycle. There is no reason to fear the U.S. might respond in any meaningful way because there are no teeth in the Biden administration's condemnations against any of them.

Biden's fear of bad polling is actually creating an environment for that polling to get worse. More important, however, is the fact that America is falling behind a world so badly in need of real leadership.
