Pushing back against a Washington Post report that Donald Trump exposed highly classified material, White House national security adviser H.R. McMaster is saying that Trump did not share any sources with Russian diplomats.

The Associated Press released this update…

BREAKING: White House national security adviser denies report that Trump shared intelligence with Russian diplomats.

But other members of the press pushed back, saying McMaster was denying that any confidential sources were shared with the Russians during the visit, a claim that was not in the original report.

McMasters denied something not asserted in the Post's reporting, but he didn't deny the damaging info that was actually asserted.

However, there was no clear denial of the claims in the Post’s original report. Still, there is one point to be made about all this…
