Not Even John Kasich Could Bring Himself to Vote for John Kasich

John Kasich has stuck around far too long in this election cycle. He was mathematically eliminated from getting the nomination and still stayed in the race because he is an egomaniac with no sense of propriety. He told people he expanded the Affordable Care Act in Ohio because that’s what Jesus would want. In every way, he was the worst possible solution to the GOP’s 2016 problem (behind Donald Trump).

In fact, the only thing we can give Kasich for is that he swore up and down he would never vote for Trump. And, as it turns out, he didn’t.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich voted Monday for 2008 Republican nominee John McCain instead of for 2016 Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Kasich wrote in McCain’s name at the top of the ticket, Kasich spokesman Chris Schrimpf said, on his absentee ballot.

Not even John Kasich liked John Kasich enough to vote for him to be President of the United States. That’s how awful he is.

I don’t really understand the logic of writing in John McCain, either. Maybe he got confused as to which John he was supporting? I don’t know. I honestly have no idea what in the hell he was thinking. But he just scribbled in a name at the top of his absentee ballot.

Whatever the logic, John Kasich ends 2016 as he began it: making us question everything about his existence.
