Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Slanders Tulsi Gabbard As 'Pro-War' Because...Orange Man Bad

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is unserious and truth-challenged. She's ignorant of history and detached from reality. When she lied about being handcuffed and put her hands behind her back like she was doing a "perp-walk," I drew this cartoon:

The former New York bartender has been a visible presence in Congress for what seems like a decade, but the reality is that she’s entering only her third term. She’s like the party drunk who seems entertaining for the first few minutes, but then you get tired of listening to her stupidity. Her constituents have sent her back to the party again. Why? Apparently, they like the idea that she, like Trump, is a disrupter, an outsider, a firebrand.

Although she won her district’s vote, and Harris carried her district, the share of Trump voters increased by 12 percent in four years. Predictably, the historically ignorant AOC said Trump was a fascist and, thus, is labeling 33 percent of her district fascists as well.

“We have had an enormous setback in this election because the fascists won a lot of working-class support, which has happened before in history,” she said.

The 35-year-old asked her constituents for reasons. She got them, good and hard.

The Democrat-Socialist won’t be swayed toward sanity. And eventually, her district will tire of her and her antics, and she can return to pouring Piña Coladas, but in the interim, she is free to do nothing but bloviate in Congress and blow hot air on TV shows. She recently appeared on the Joy(less) Reid Show to posture and offer feckless takes on the state of the nation and Trump's nominees. Reid nodded in agreement.

AOC Explains Trump's 'They/Them' Transgender Ad, and It Tells Us So Much About Why Democrats Lost

Comrade AOC had thoughts on the nomination of Lt Col. Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence.

Reid was aghast that Trump would nominate Gabbard because she is “an agent of Russia.” AOC nodded in agreement and said, “Although she says she is an anti-war person, she’s not. She supports very pro-war individuals [Reid: including Syria]. And let’s be very clear: Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination is a pro-war nomination globally, point blank, period. [Reid: As is Donald Trump as President of the United States]."

"Point blank, period" is a substitute for facts.

There were no wars in Trump’s first term. Gabbard has been steadfast in her opposition to Bush/Cheney neocon nation-building. Claiming that Gabbard is a war hawk is wholly detached from reality. Gabbard is like many who served. War is anathema to them. Prepare for it, but avoid it if you can. I am all in now. Gabbard is a disruptor, an outsider. A firebrand. She will disrupt the Intelligence apparatchiks. I am all in. One would assume that AOC would support that — but because Gabbard is now a Republican, AOC slanders her as a war hawk.

Detached from critical thinking.
