Four years ago, Joe Biden was hiding in the basement for the presidential campaign. It was a smart strategy. Sending Joe out into the wilds would have exposed him to actual questions. In his stead, his running mate was making appearances. Kamala Harris was making her opinions known.
"There's a big difference between equality and equity," says Harris. "Equality suggests, 'Oh, everyone should get the same amount.' The problem with that, not everybody's starting in the same place."
Right before the 2020 election, Harris tweeted that “equity” was the goal – not equality of opportunity.

Guess who said Harris “sounds just like Karl Marx”? Liz Cheney.
Harris doesn’t have a lot of core beliefs, but she hasn’t wavered from sounding “just like Karl Marx.” Once Biden and Harris took office, their administration was quick to prioritize those they considered “underrepresented.” And why not? Harris was a miserable failure as a candidate for president – never even reaching the Iowa caucus, but she had two immutable characteristics that Biden said he would prioritize. She was black and a woman. The administration was quick to overload with characters from the alphabet soup. The current press secretary is a black lesbian — and remarkably incompetent. I’m not suggesting those characteristics make her incompetent, but they seem to trump competency.
Every agency under the Biden/Harris regime has prioritized DEI, from the DoD to State to Homeland Security to FEMA. A “culture of inclusion” was trumping common sense. Last week, Hurricane Helene ravaged the Southeast and struck its hardest blow in western North Carolina. Entire towns were washed away. FEMA wasn’t just slow to react; it was nowhere to be seen for days. There haven't been just a few first-hand stories; there have been literally dozens.
They aren't isolated or contrived. Real people are suffering. Humans are in need. Unfortunately, the Biden/Harris administration's infection of incompetence and its pattern of helping everyone but America’s own has been repeated. From siphoning money away from FEMA for illegal aliens, to the Maui debacle, to ignoring East Palestine, to forsaking Asheville, North Carolina, Biden/Harris have created an environment of misplaced priorities. Instead of prioritizing Helene’s victims based on need, FEMA wants to make sure that transgenders are triaged to the top of the “need” list. In a remarkably unnerving video produced by a FEMA employee whose pronouns are They/Him, they wanted the assembled FEMA crew to know that FEMA must consider underrepresented subgroups.

"We should focus our efforts on LGBTQIA people… they struggled before the storm"
"FEMA relief is no longer about getting the greatest good for the greatest amount of people…. It's about disaster equity." pic.twitter.com/IqXeKI8OTT
The implication is stunning. Will FEMA employees take a checklist and, if someone is a white male, deprioritize them?
I drew this cartoon two days ago — before I saw that FEMA video.
Life imitates art, or is it the reverse?
