Last week, two memes started in response to Justin Trudeau’s authoritarianism. Let’s Go Brandeau! is a thing now. It’s a brilliant frozen-north variation of Let’s Go Brandon. The second was the tongue-in-cheek claim that Justin Trudeau is the illegitimate love-child of Fidel Castro. AP and The New York Times refuted this claim. I don’t know which is funnier, the meme or the fact-checking clowns at AP and NYT.

In any event, on Monday, Trudeau channeled his inner Castro and invoked emergency powers. He’s shutting down protests that don’t align with his autocratic, authoritarian mandates.

Hey, Justin, your dad Fidel would be so proud of your jack-booting efforts. Like father, like son…
