WaPo Changes Article Praising Vandals After Getting Flamed by Eric Trump

President Trump’s son forced the Washington Post to alter one of its stories that appeared to be celebrating an act of vandalism.

A group of environmentalist whackos vandalized the 18th green at Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. The hopped the fence under cover of darkness and gouged the “NO MORE TIGERS. NO MORE WOODS” into the turf. In the deranged mind of—I’m guessing— the jobless art major who masterminded this crime, that somehow makes a statement about Trump’s environmental policies.

Eric Trump blasted WaPo and tagged the paper’s owner Jeff Bezos in the tweet.

The Washington Post sensationalized this destruction of private property as a “daring act of defiance.” Not only is that a blatant act of biased journalism, it’s not even close to being true. There’s nothing “daring” about hopping a golf course fence and tearing up turf, and it’s no more “defiant” than scrawling off-color poetry on the inside of a public bathroom stall.

The article now includes the following editors note:

Editor’s note: The beginning of this story was changed to more accurately reflect the nature of the actions taken by a protest group against the Trump golf course in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.

The “daring act of defiance” language was replaced with this:

A group of environmental activists pulled off an elaborate act of vandalism at one of President Trump’s premier golf courses early Sunday morning.

Not to belabor it, but the vandalism wasn’t particularly “elaborate” either.

Just write the story, WaPo.
