A frightening scenario has taken place not once but twice in East County near San Diego, California, where, on August 27, 2024, and again the following day, numerous illegal immigrants attempted to force their way onto school buses packed with children.

The first incident occurred Tuesday (August 27) afternoon. According to (Jamul-Dulzura Union School District Superintendent) Liz Bystedt, three men were walking in the middle of a highway. They attempted to stop a bus at a stop on the highway. In response, the bus went around the men.

The following morning, another school bus encountered a group of about 20 people as it was picking students up from the same stop where the previous day’s incident occurred. Parents present at the site took action, assisting the bus driver to ensure students were safe and that no one besides the children boarded the bus.

According to an email sent by Bystedt to parents on August 28:

Earlier today I notified transportation families about two recent incidents involving our school buses on Highway 94. Both incidents involved people either trying to stop or board a bus at a bus stop.

First i want to say thank you to the bus drivers for keeping our students safe and to the parents who helped to ensure the bus was not boarded.

We have been in contact with Border Patrol, the Sheriff's Office, and CHP throughout the day. In addition, multiple news organizations and Representative Darrel Issa's office have reached out.

We will continue to work with law enforcement on the matter. We have put additional protocols in place and notified parents of bus riders.

This afternoon, our Director of Transportation followed the buses to ensure everyone got home safely.

As reported here on August 24, the San Diego area is rife with illegal border crossings.

It warrants mention that on August 28, the California State Legislature passed a bill giving illegal immigrants authorized access to the state's taxpayer-funded Homebuyers Loan Program, which provides fixed-rate loans for up to $150K for first-time homebuyers. Apparently, the illegals in East County got wind of this and assumed free public transportation was part of the arrangement.

The question isn't why the incidents in East County happened, but rather why they didn't happen sooner. One can only hope that the parents of East County schoolchildren will take these events to heart and start demanding that state and federal officials do their job of protecting kids. In a world where real media existed, a member of same would directly question Vice President Kamala Harris about the incident and ask her what she was doing, other than parroting former President Donald Trump regarding a border wall, to ensure the safety of innocents. This, of course, will not happen, as even if there were real media, there would be no access to Harris and her campaign built on a platform of lollipop dreams in a cotton candy sky. Will it take one or more children getting hurt, or worse, to open their eyes?
