BREAKING: Cochise County Sheriff Searching for Man Who Threatened to Assassinate Trump in AZ Today

A manhunt is underway in Arizona, where Cochise County officials are looking for Ronald Lee Syrvud, a 66-year-old man who has threatened to kill a presidential candidate. It's being reported that the candidate is Donald Trump, and that Syrvud intended to attempt to assassinate Trump today during an appearance in Cochise County.

The news release states:

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a Benson resident who is wanted on several outstanding warrants.

6’0” / 220 #
White / Green
Glasses
66 Years of age
Last known address: Benson

This subject has outstanding warrants from the state of Wisconsin for DUI / Failure to Appear for DUI and from Graham County Arizona for Hit/Run and Felony Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
 

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office also has an absconder hold for this subject for failing to register as a sex offender.

Public Safety consideration: Syrvud is being sought as an investigative lead for threats to kill a presidential candidate.

At press time, Trump is at the border in Cochise County speaking to Border Patrol agents.
