Today many of us at Team RedState are multitasking — as we work to bring you the important stories of the day, we’re also doing things like baking pies and prepping the kitchen for Thanksgiving feasts with our families. It’s been a disheartening few weeks since the election, but as the scent of my famous chocolate-cinnamon sheet cake and fresh-baked rolls fills my home, I can’t help but reflect on the things that are really, really wonderful in my life. I’m blessed beyond measure to have my mom and stepdad still around, to have three healthy, happy sons (and two daughters-in-law), and the most perfect 20-month-old granddaughter ever. In a time of economic uncertainty, I’m grateful to have a job doing what I love and to work with the best writers in the business.

I’m extremely grateful for the people who make it possible for me to do what I do — RedState’s loyal readers, and especially our VIP members. The aftermath of that story led Ferrer to back down. Now she’s itching to again go back to masking, and the “public health experts” in DC are right there with her, so we’re going to have to keep the pressure up — and, we absolutely will.

During this midterm election, we were able to host a 6-hour special RedState Live chat featuring a dozen RedState contributors throughout the country, bringing up-to-the-minute coverage and analysis, because of your support. We had local contributors on the ground in two key battleground states (Cameron Arcand in Arizona and Brittany Sheehan in Nevada), and through Dennis Santiago and Jennifer O’Connell, we published more than a dozen profiles of state and local candidates.

Since then, we’ve been watching the results across the country closely to ensure the integrity of our elections and report the truth. We’re continuing to monitor what’s happening in Arizona, to hold elections officials there to account and shine a spotlight on any corruption and incompetence that needs to be revealed.
