Mike Pompeo Makes a Definitive Statement on Wuhan Coronavirus Origins

In the wake of increased calls for investigation into all possible Wuhan flu origins (even that “debunked conspiracy theory” of a leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology), former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo sent a tweet that leaves no question about exactly what his belief is.

Pompeo wrote:

Every piece of evidence suggests the Wuhan virus leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Communist China owes the world answers.

Pompeo has pushed hard for a full investigation into all COVID-19 origin possibilities for more than a year. Last week it was revealed that the Biden administration shut down an investigation into the lab leak theory that Pompeo initiated in the fall of 2020.

On Saturday’s “Fox & Friends” he said:

“We know a lot about its origins but we don’t know the answer, and we have to be sure we get that answer…

“If we don’t – that virology lab is still up and running. It’s still probably conducting hte same kinds of research it was conducting that may well have led to that virus escaping from its laboratories. The world deserves to know the answers, and they [the CCP] have to tell us.

“What I can say for sure is this: we know that they were engaged in efforts connected to the People’s Liberation Army inside of that laboratory, so military activity being performed alongside what they claimed was just good old civilian research.

“They refuse to tell us what it was, they refuse to describe the nature of either of those, they refused to allow access to the World Health Organization when it tried to get in there. That cover-up alone suggests that there’s a lot more that we need to know.”

Tuesday’s tweet is unequivocal, so let’s hope the Intelligence Community really does its job and brings in any medical experts needed to come to a swift, sure conclusion to the question of where the pandemic originated.
