Sounds Right: CA State Sen. Melissa Melendez on CAGOP's Private Ballot Boxes

California State Sen. Melissa Melendez (R-Lake Elsinore) has been one of the few unwaveringly conservative and unapologetic voices in the California legislature and the California GOP since she was first elected to the State Assembly in 2012. When the CAGOP deployed private ballot collection boxes in swing districts throughout the state a few weeks ago, taking advantage of the Democrats’ ballot harvesting law, Melendez effectively used her platform to fight back against Attorney General Xavier Becerra and Secretary of State Alex Padilla’s characterization that the boxes were illegal. In addition to her astute explanations of the law, she got right to the nitty-gritty of what AG Becerra needed to hear:
