What did WaPo’s token (former) conservative Jennifer Rubin have for lunch? Whatever it was, do not have what she was having.

During lunch hour on the East Coast, Rubin sent out a tweet saying, “If you could choose just one to knock off” and then giving respondents the choice of Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-SC), and Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

Of course, Sens. Collins and Graham are members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which will soon hold a hearing about whether to confirm Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, and Sen. Majority Leader McConnell is in charge of bringing the nomination to the full Senate for a confirmation vote.

It’s possible that by “knock off” Rubin meant “lose re-election,” but since confirmation hearings begin weeks before the election that doesn’t really make sense. (Yes, yes, we are talking about Jen Rubin here, I know.)

Given the trajectory of her rhetoric on Twitter recently and in her columns, it’s easy to believe that by “knock off” she means, “If you could choose just one to assume room temperature?” Is she really asking people to choose which Senator they’d kill? She’s getting a lot of positive responses from people on the Left; does she realize she could inspire someone to actually murder a senator?

Someone needs to step away from the computer and get waaaay outside the Beltway for a while.
