Thank You, Joy Reid

Townhall Media

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to MSNBC’s chief race hustler, Joy Reid, for her comments after it became clear on Election Day that America would be spared a Kamala Harris presidency.

See, as a Black man, I did not vote for Harris, as did many others with my shade of melanin. For this unforgivable affront, Democrats have been demonizing people like me since even before the election, when polling showed that a sizeable portion of Black men would rather eat Harris’ bathtub-washed collard greens than pull the lever for this tyrant.

But during the broadcast, Reid gave folks like myself a bit of a reprieve, turning the focus on White women. During the conversation, Reid said that while “Black voters came through for Kamala Haris, White women voters did not.”

She explained how White women’s right to terminate their pregnancies was on the line and the efforts to convince them to support the vice president “was not enough to get enough White women to vote for Vice President Harris.”

Then she went on to spew some bizarre progressive gobbledygook about how White women must “change the way that they interact with the patriarchy.”

At least for a moment, Reid managed to take the spotlight off of Black men and deflect it to White women so they could spend some time being demonized. It was a much-welcome break given how leftists keep bashing us on social media. Just take a look:

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough led a panel on Election Day with old-school race hustler Rev. Al Sharpton, in which he criticized Black and Hispanic men for being so racist and misogynistic that they refused to vote for Harris.

Yes, it is true that President-elect Donald Trump won a far higher percentage of Black male votes than he did previously. According to a CNN analysis, about 20 percent of Black men voted for Trump. A Fox News analysis showed 25 percent of Black men supporting the president-elect.

No wonder Democrats are so mad at us. After all, we have been supporting their party at 90 percent and more for decades. How dare we suddenly abandon them just because they have continually lied to us while taking advantage of our loyalty?

Of course, all good things must come to an end. While Reid focused the conversation on White women, it will be only a matter of time before folks on the life return to schoolmarming Black men over their vote. After all, it’s much easier to blame us instead of the inept authoritarian party they support, is it not?
