President Joe Biden made some rather odd and seemingly racist comments during a recent press conference. While addressing reporters, he touted the benefits of “Bidenomics” over “MAGAnomics,” and claimed that he brought back jobs after the COVID-19 pandemic. But while making his case, he seemed to imply that most black and Hispanic Americans do not have high-school diplomas.

A closer listen reveals the actual point Biden was trying to make, but since the left made certain rules about this kind of thing, then everyone should be criticizing him for being a virulent racist who won’t even drink black coffee.

During the proceedings, Biden said:

We not only recovered all the jobs we lost during the pandemic, we've added millions more. We've seen record lows in unemployment, particularly, and I've focused on this my whole career, particularly for African-Americans and Hispanic workers and veterans, you know, the workers without high school diplomas, the lowest unemployment rate in 70 years for women now.

If you have a high school diploma, you ain't black.

Now then, it sounds pretty bad at first, does it not? But when you listen to it, what Biden is trying to say is that Bidenomics brought back jobs for African-Americans, Hispanic workers, veterans, and “workers without high school diplomas.” In fact, if he had worded it the right way, the statement would not be controversial at all, except for the fact that his claims about his economic policy are an utter load of equine excrement.

Nevertheless, let’s put the proverbial shoe on the other foot, shall we? What if former President Donald Trump or Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis had made this gaffe? Democrats and their close friends and allies in the activist media would immediately give it wall-to-wall coverage as they clutched their pearls in abject horror over the insinuation that “people of color” aren’t graduating high school.

See, here’s the thing. In today’s polarized political environment, people – especially those on the hard left – are so eager to take offense at supposed bigotry that they don’t even care what their targets are actually trying to convey. If they make a slip-up or even say something that can be twisted into something racist, the woke crowd enthusiastically pounces on the opportunity to scream, “Thass raaaayciss!”

You all remember how they melted down when Ron DeSantis warned Florida voters not to “monkey this up” by voting for socialist policies, don’t you?

Yet, Biden can go on a black radio show and tell the host he’s not black if he doesn’t support him. In fact, the president — and pretty much anyone else on the left — will get a free pass if they say something that is blatantly racist.

Biden was not trying to imply that black folks don’t have diplomas. But in the world in which the left wants us to live, this should not matter. He said something that could be construed as racist, so he should be referred to as such. The fact that there is no outrage among leftists shows even more clearly that their declarations about opposing racism wherever they can find it do not come from an authentic place. Rather, they derive from a desire to exploit bigotry as a weapon to be used against their opposition.
