You can always count on the progressive left to expose their true intentions. Even after lying about what their agenda entails, there will always be folks who say the quiet part out loud.
This was once again proven when Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling sounded off on the transgender movement during a podcast that was aired on Tuesday. Despite being an avowed leftist, Rowling has taken no small amount of fire for pointing out how the transgender movement is marginalizing biological women. During the conversation, she characterized the transgender movement as “dangerous” and addressed her critics.
“I can only say that I’ve thought about it deeply and hard and long. And I’ve listened, I promise, to the other side,” she said. “And I believe, absolutely, that there is something dangerous about this movement, and it must be challenged.”
The author continued, explaining how she is “constantly told that I have betrayed my own books.” She fired back, saying that she is “absolutely upholding the positions that I took in ‘Potter’” and that “this activist movement in the form that it’s currently taking, echoes the very thing that I was warning against in ‘Harry Potter.’”
“I am fighting what I see as a powerful, insidious misogynistic movement that I think has gained huge purchase in very influential areas of society. I do not see this particular movement as either benign or powerless,” she added.
Rowling first came under fire in the summer of 2020 when she cautioned that transgender ideology could end up erasing womanhood by ignoring the biological attributes that distinguish women from men.
“If sex isn’t real, there’s no same-sex attraction. If sex isn’t real, the lived reality of women globally is erased. I know and love trans people, but erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives. It isn’t hate to speak the truth,” she tweeted.
The idea that women like me, who’ve been empathetic to trans people for decades, feeling kinship because they’re vulnerable in the same way as women – ie, to male violence – ‘hate’ trans people because they think sex is real and has lived consequences – is a nonsense.

The inevitable backlash ensued, with people referring to Rowling as a “trans-exclusionary radical feminist” (TERF). But now, it is not difficult to see that a cultural Voldemort is upon us, just as the author said.
Only a few days after the podcast episode aired, Assistant Secretary for Health for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Rachel Levine, a transgender female, predicted that the push for foisting medical and surgical treatments on minors would become more accepted in American society. While addressing an audience at the Pediatric Grand Rounds session at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, Levine praised the facility’s “gender-affirming care.”
Levine assured the audience that prescribing puberty blockers and even surgical treatments for children suffering from gender dysphoria has the “highest support” from the White House.
“But I’m a positive and optimistic person, and I choose to be positive, optimistic. And I think that the wheels will turn on this,” Levine said.
The assistant secretary continued:
“I think that it’s not going to be politically advantageous. It wasn’t particularly in 2022. And so I think that as we look to all the different elections in 2024, I think the next two years are going to be challenging. But I am positive and optimistic and hopeful that the wheel will turn after that and that this issue won’t be as politically and socially such a minefield.”
Dr. Stanley Goldfarb from the Do No Harm organization told Fox News Digital that there is “no good evidence that children treated with gender-altering hormones or puberty blockers improved mental health assessments.”
“Despite assertions to the contrary, a recent study from the University of Washington showed that there was absolutely no change in the psychological well-being of children with gender dysphoria treated with these medications,” he continued. “There can be irrevocable harm being done to children by those pushing for these radical, ideologically driven, treatments. Treatment for minors needs to be based on rigorous scientific inquiry, not on dubious, agenda-driven studies or the demands of activists.”
Levine didn’t say anything that we don’t already know. Those following this situation know that progressives want to make the mutilation of children normalized in American society. It is why they are pushing the ideology so aggressively in K-12 schools and medical facilities. The bottom line is that these people are not content to push transgender ideology on adults – they want your kids too, regardless of how you feel about it.
