Elon Musk has taken over Twitter. Progressives are mad about it, so they are doing what they do best: Cynically exploiting black Americans and other racial minorities to attack him.
Even before it became apparent that the Tesla CEO would be taking over the platform, folks on the hard left began spinning a narrative insisting that his purchase of the social media platform would somehow negatively impact “marginalized” people.
Ultraviolet, a feminist advocacy group, posted a tweet insisting that Musk’s takeover would result in harassment of black women:

Michael Caster, an advocate for digital rights in Asia, expressed similar sentiments:

But now, the Washington Post, which already tried to attack Twitter’s advertising revenue, has hopped on the fearmongering train. The authors, one of which includes disgraced media activist Taylor Lorenz, reported that racist and anti-Semitic tweets increased after Musk closed the deal. They wrote:
While Twitter has yet to announce any official changes to the site’s content moderation, users reportedly appeared emboldened to push the limits following the takeover, using racist, antisemitic, and homophobic slurs.
If that doesn’t sound scary enough, the authors claim that “An emboldened cast of anonymous trolls spewed racist slurs and Nazi memes onto Twitter in the hours after billionaire industrialist Elon Musk took over the social network, raising fears that his pledge of unrestricted free speech could fuel a new wave of online hate.”
They were even so kind as to give us some examples so that we wouldn’t assume they are exaggerating:
“Elon now controls twitter. Unleash the racial slurs. K—S AND N—–S,” said one account, using slurs for Jews and Black people. “I can freely express how much I hate n—–s … now, thank you elon,” another said.
Racial slurs were posted rampantly. One single-word tweet, showing a single racial slur in all capital letters, was retweeted more than 700 times and liked more than 5,000 times. It was tweeted Thursday night and remained online more than 16 hours later.
One account, created this month, included a Nazi swastika as its profile picture and retweeted quotes from Musk alongside antisemitic memes. Another tweet, showing a video montage glorifying Nazi Germany with the comment, “I hear that there have been some changes around here,” was liked more than 400 times.
The Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI), a group that analyzes social media, told the activist media outlet that “use of the n-word on the app spiked nearly 500 percent over the 12 hours after Musk’s deal was finalized.”
The authors complained that on Friday, “misogynistic and anti-LGBTQ messages had become increasingly prominent,” and that people were using *gasp* the term “groomer.”

As you might imagine, leftists started losing their collective minds as the report circulated on Twitter. NBA star LeBron James, who is always good for an asinine take, tweeted, “I don’t know Elon Musk and, tbh, I could care less who owns twitter. But I will say that if this is true, I hope he and his people take this very seriously because this is scary AF. So many damn unfit people saying hate speech is free speech.”

That’s right folks. James thinks the idea of morons on Twitter using the n-word is “scary.”
But not all black folks were as upset as LeBron James. Black Guns Matter founder Maj Toure chimed in, calling out the left for trying to manipulate black folks into being their pawns. He tweeted:

Here’s the truth: Most black folks on Twitter don’t give a rip about racist imbeciles taking the opportunity to drop n-bombs on the platform. Contrary to what progressives think, the majority of us are not nearly as soft as James.
