One would think that after all this time, the White House would start taking the problem seriously instead of just trying to deceive the American public about it. But this might annoy those in the open borders camp who seek to maintain a steady flow of legal and illegal immigrants into the country, as long as they don’t wind up in blue cities. Unfortunately for these folks, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has begun bringing the border to cities like New York City, Washington, D.C., and Chicago.

Nevertheless, while complaining about the Abbott Express, they continue to let the White House lie about the severity of the problem. During a conversation with NBC News’ Chuck Todd on “Meet the Press,” Black Hillary, AKA Vice President Kamala Harris, had the unmitigated gall to suggest that the border is secure.

When Todd asked Black Hillary If she would call the border secure, she responded:

I think that there is no question that we have to do what the president and I asked Congress to do, the first request we made: pass a bill to create a pathway to citizenship. The border is secure, but we also have a broken immigration system, in particular, over the last four years before we came in, and it needs to be fixed.

Ah. So the real problem is that we are not providing a pathway to citizenship for illegals, not that we are inviting millions of people to come to the southern border to seek asylum through Biden’s open borders policies. Makes sense.

Surprisingly, Todd pressed the issue. “We’re going to have two million people cross this border for the first time ever – you’re confident this border’s secure?” he asked.

Black Hillary responded again, repeating her gaslighting. “We have a secure border in that that is a priority for any nation, including ours and our administration,” she lied. “But there are still a lot of problems that we are trying to fix given the deterioration that happened over the last four years.”

But I can’t put all the blame on Black Hillary. That would be both sexist and racist.

I’m sure you remember when Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said the exact same thing, right? When speaking at the Aspen Security forum earlier this year, he also turned the gaslight on.

“Look, the border is secure,” he said. “We are working to make the border more secure. That has been a historic challenge.”

Of course, the facts on the ground do not exactly line up with what the administration is claiming. Gov. Greg Abbott’s office recently reported that Texas has apprehended 302,600 illegal immigrants for transfer to federal authorities since launching Operation Lone Star in March 2021. “There have been 19,700 criminal arrests and 17,200 felony charges filed during the operation, the news release added. 340.5 million deadly doses of fentanyl have also been confiscated,” according to The Texan.

In light of this, why would the Biden administration continue lying about what is happening at the southern border? The answer is simple: They know the activist media will not call them out on it. Sure Todd asked a few questions but did not dare to show how Black Hillary was lying to his face. Other left-leaning outlets are doing the same.

Sure, in the early months of the crisis, a few outlets took issue with the Biden administration’s lack of transparency when it came to the treatment of migrants and unaccompanied minors. But after that, they were pretty much mum on the topic. As long as the once-vaunted Fourth Estate is more intent on protecting their favorite geriatric authoritarian, the White House will continue trying to deceive the public. The question is: Is it even working at this point?
