A gunman opened fire at Columbiana Centre mall in Columbia, South Carolina, on Saturday, injuring several people. The Columbia Police Department reported the shooting at about 2:30 p.m. Eastern time.
The victims injured during the shooting are currently getting medical attention. At least one ambulance was seen leaving the scene, as law enforcement officers carrying rifles and wearing camouflage vests were viewed walking into Dave & Busters, according to The State.

“We have confirmed that people have been injured during the incident — they are receiving medical attention,” law enforcement tweeted. “The extent of injuries unknown at this time.”

Law enforcement indicated they were evacuating the mall and “working to assess the scene” according to The Associated Press.
It is not yet known whether there were any fatalities.
