Gen. Mark Milley Becomes Another Cog in the Leftist, BlueAnon Propaganda Machine

The Democrats and activist media have found a new ally in Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Mark Milley, who is happily helping them peddle their political propaganda designed to smear former President Donald Trump and his supporters. A new book, implies that the “woke” general was concerned that Trump and his allies might try to pull off an armed takeover of the government after the results of the 2020 presidential election.

CNN published a report detailing excerpts of the book, which was written by Washington Post reporters Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker, related to Milley’s supposed fears about a coup attempt coming from the Trump camp. The authors claim personnel changes that occurred in the final days of the Trump presidency put the general on edge.

“They may try, but they’re not going to f**king succeed,” Milley supposedly said to his deputies. “You can’t do this without the military. You can’t do this without the CIA and the FBI. We’re the guys with the guns.”

CNN also reported that the authors explained that the general “told his staff that he believed Trump was stoking unrest, possibly in hopes of an excuse to invoke the Insurrection Act and call out the military.”

Milley, who comes off sounding like a paranoid actor, viewed the former president as “the classic authoritarian leader with nothing to lose.”

Of course, it didn’t take long for Hitler to come into the equation. “This is a Reichstag moment,” the general said to his aides. “The gospel of the Führer.”

Nothing surprising here. After all, what would a piece of left-wing propaganda be without extravagant Hitler references?

But the silliness didn’t stop there. Prior to the “Million MAGA March” in Washington, D.C., the general told members of his staff that he believed it “could be the modern American equivalent of ‘brownshirts in the streets.’”

I’m no doctor. But this guy has an unhealthy fascination with Hitler. He should probably see someone about that.

A defense official who is close to Milley stated that he will not publicly discuss the content of the book. Perhaps he is smart enough not to beclown himself more than he already has.

The details of the book go on and on, and the general comes off like an unhinged conspiracy theorist pretending to be a hero. Other high-profile leftists like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi make appearances, spouting the same type of conspiratorial nonsense as Milley. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) also stops by to pretend Trump started the Jan. 6 riots.

This book is just the latest in a series of books written by authors wishing to smear the Trump administration with supposed insider knowledge. Each time one of these authors tries to pen a piece of work designed to do lasting damage to the former president, it fails miserably. At this point, it will be a miracle if the left manages to get a significant number of people to actually believe what’s been written.

Remember when Michael Wolff wrote that “Fire and Fury” book and the media acted as if this would finally be the black stain on the Trump presidency? It didn’t take long for many of the claims made in the book to be debunked. Other similar works have also faded into obscurity, and most likely, the same will happen with this particular work.

From the CNN report, it is not difficult to tell that this particular piece of propaganda is more of the “preaching to the choir” type, meaning that it will only be taken seriously by those who already want to believe what it says. Like other forms of leftist manipulation, it will not convert anyone to their cause. It is nothing more than red meat for a vast audience still suffering from the worst symptoms of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
