The far left isn’t only happy about the possibility of former Vice President Joe Biden becoming the next president, they are also salivating about the thought of how they will begin their attempts to destroy President Trump if he leaves the White House. Trump might be facing a slew of legal attacks if he does not win the election, and you can best believe that progressives will come at him with everything they’ve got. 

According to 9 News, “Mr. Trump is currently facing multiple investigations looking into possible fraud in his financial business dealings as a private citizen – both as an individual and through his company.”

As president, Trump has been protected from legal action. But if he is no longer the president, his enemies will pounce on the opportunity to try to drown him in litigation. 

“In every regard, his leaving office makes it easier for prosecutors and plaintiffs in civil cases to pursue their cases against him,” said Harry Sandick, a former federal prosecutor in the Manhattan US attorney’s office.”For example, he is claiming a higher protection from subpoenas in the criminal cases and also in the congressional subpoena cases, [and that] is based largely on the fact that he is president.”

Democratic lawmakers have suggested forming a team to investigate Trump and his allies if he were to leave office. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), who looks like Dexter, has proposed creating a “Presidential Crimes Commission” made up of prosecutors who can investigate “those who enabled a corrupt president.” 

One of the more serious legal threats that progressives could use against Trump is the Manhattan district attorney’s broad criminal investigation into the Trump organization’s financial operations. According to 9 News, “prosecutors have suggested in court filings that the investigation could examine whether the president and his company engaged in bank fraud, insurance fraud, criminal tax fraud and falsification of business records.”

Of course, there is also the matter of women who accused him of sexual assault. Summer Zervos, whose lawyer is well-known clout chaser Gloria Allred, claimed that Trump acted inappropriately with her during a lunch meeting in his New York City office. She stated that he allegedly kissed her aggressively and touched her breast during another encounter in Beverly Hills. Zervos filed the lawsuit after she was the subject of harassment and threats after Trump denied her claims. 

Progressives could also attempt to charge the president with obstruction of justice in relation to the Russia investigation. While special counsel Robert Mueller did not state that he found evidence of obstruction, he also indicated that if it wished, the Department of Justice (DOJ) could try to charge him. If Biden were to take over as president, you can bet that the Democrats will attempt to pressure him to direct the DOJ to pursue a criminal case against Trump. 

Of course, there is also the Stormy Daniels matter, in which the Southern District of New York has alleged that Trump instructed his former attorney Michael Cohen to use campaign funds to pay Daniels and another unnamed woman with whom he allegedly had an affair for their silence. 

Cohen, who pleaded guilty to other crimes, said under oath that Trump had ordered him to break campaign finance law. The attorney was reimbursed for the payments into 2017. Lawyers believe this might indicate that the statute of limitations could be extended into 2022.

To put it simply, Trump’s enemies could very easily dredge up every single salacious story that the corporate media has constantly placed in the faces of the American public since he took office. They will use whatever legal justification — no matter how flimsy — to target the president. 

It is worth pointing out that while the left had to wait until Trump was out of office to push these legal actions, it does not necessarily mean that any of them will stick. Indeed, their objective would likely be to tie him up in as many legal actions as possible for the sole purpose of harassing him. 

But it’s important to remember that if the far-left does wage a legal war against Trump in the event he loses the election, it will further expose their depravity to the rest of the nation. It will likely make an impression that most will remember in 2022.
