Brad Pitt, aside from being a very underrated actor, is one of the new people in Hollywood that doesn’t rail about gun violence while at the same time, making movies where he does nothing but shoot people. His wife, Angelina Jolie, while doing a lot of humanitarian work, and certainly not the conservative her Dad, Jon Voight is, doesn’t say much politically and reportedly doesn’t care for Barack Obama all that much.

Jesse James, famous for ‘Monster Garage’ has a company called Jesse James Firearms Unlimited and was asked by Pitt and Jolie to make custom handguns for the couple:

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are box office gold, and they’re armed with a pair of Cisco 1911 firearms that were created by infamous customizer and reality TV show star Jesse James.

“I built this custom pair of Cisco 1911’s for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Both are Government size. Her’s is chambered in 9mm and his in .45acp . Both are hand fit from all oversize parts, making them incredibly accurate, well shooting pistols.”

Pitt rankled the nerves of gun grabbers when he said defended current gun laws in the wake of the Aurora shooting:

“America is a country founded on guns. It’s in our DNA. It’s very strange but I feel better having a gun. I really do. I don’t feel safe, I don’t feel the house is completely safe, if I don’t have one hidden somewhere. That’s my thinking, right or wrong.

“I got my first BB (air) gun when I was in nursery school. I got my first shotgun by first grade. I had shot a handgun by third grade and I grew up in a pretty sane environment. I was in the U.K. when the shootings happened and I did hear the discussion about gun control start again, and as far as I know it petered out as it always does.

“It’s just something with us. To turn around and ask us to give up our guns… I don’t know, we’re too afraid that we’re going to give up ours and the bad guys are still going to get theirs. It’s just in our thinking. I’m telling you, we don’t know America without guns.”

Amen to that.
