While geopolitical tensions between the United States, Turkey, Russia, and Iran simmer in Syria, to the south regional tensions have reignited.

The Jerusalem Post reports protesters have jury-rigged an explosive device to a kite hoping to float it over the defensive lines “protesters” have not been able to breach.

These demonstrations have been going on for over a week in Israel. It was reported that activists were killed by Israeli snipers; the activists turned out to be members of Hamas.

It was reported that a journalist was killed, but it later turned out that he was an officer in Hamas, the designated terrorist organization that is a puppet of Iran and shares their goal of destroying Israel. His family disputes the allegations and one unnamed U.S. government official said the slain journalist/activist/terrorist had been vetted to receive U.S. aid.

It doesn’t take a genius to duct tape a bomb to a kite and fly it towards your enemy, but this is a sign the Palestinians are willing to escalate the situation while also highlighting how desperate their situation is. There is clear evidence their benefactor, Iran, has been developing low tech drones in Yemen and it won’t be long before they try to insert this into the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis.

Iran is the problem. They’re the problem in Yemen. They’re the problem in Gaza. They’re the problem in Bahrain. This is who they are and this is their preferred tactic. Use the aggrieved to provoke the power.

They’re the problem in Syria where the goal is to preserve Bashar Al Assad at all costs so that they can stage an area from which they can attack Israel. It’s still baffling to see people surprised at Israeli vigilance but don’t expect it to go away anytime soon. In fact, it will likely be increased over the next few months.
