Last week, The Hill’s John Solomon reported he had obtained 450 pages of new documents related to former Vice President Joe Biden’s Ukraine story and Ukrainian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Solomon is a long-time investigative journalist with an extensive network of connections inside the Washington intelligence community. Clearly, it will take time to pour through such a vast quantity of material. Accordingly, Solomon will be presenting several documents at a time. Last night, he appeared on “Hannity” to share the first two, both of which discredit the false narratives being peddled by the left. Solomon reports:

There is a media narrative that is false…MSNBC’s Katy Tur and many others over the weekend said there is no evidence that the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington was ever asked to help the Democratic National Committee. In fact, on NBC News, Katy Tur called that claim Russian propaganda. Now, you showed the Politico article.

I have a statement from the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington, on the record, from their sitting ambassador in Washington, that in fact, Alexandra Chalupa, the DNC contractor, came to the Ukrainian Embassy in spring 2016 and asked for help in finding dirt on Donald Trump in hopes of staging a Congressional hearing to hurt Donald Trump in the fall election of 2016. That is the Ukraine Embassy’s on the record statement.

In addition, they state that Miss Chalupa also asked for the Ukraine president to visit the United States and spend time with an investigative reporter trying to turn up dirt on Donald Trump and Paul Manafort.

What did the Embassy do? They said they recognized this request for what it was – an improper effort to influence the election and they refused to cooperate with Miss Chalupa. That’s a very important confirmation of something that the rest of the media is calling a tin foil hat conspiracy. It’s on the record. It’s in Politico. It’s in the Embassy’s own words.

The second document Solomon presents is the deposition of Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin. He is the prosecutor whom Biden demanded be fired in March 2016. Biden famously threatened to withhold $1 billion in U.S. aid to the country unless Shokin was fired in the next six hours. Shokin had been investigating Ukrainian energy company, Burisma Holdings, at the time and was planning to interview Hunter Biden about his business dealings with the company as part of his probe. For obvious reasons, Biden insists he called for Shokin’s firing because he was corrupt. Solomon explains:

Mr. Shokin says in his sworn deposition, under the penalty of perjury, under oath, that in fact, he was fired because he refused to stand down in the Burisma investigation. That is the only reason he was fired. He was told that by Ukraine’s President [Petro Poroshenko].

That is a complete contradiction of everything Joe Biden has said.

Solomon will appear again on “Hannity” tonight to “go through 8-10 of the biggest lies and show people the proof moment by moment, step by step.” I will post on this new information tomorrow morning.

Note: The Politico article Solomon refers to is an in-depth, investigative piece written by Kenneth Vogel and David Stern in January 2017. It is a well-researched overview of Ukraine’s interference in our election. It covers the role of Alexandra Chalupa whose name you will likely hear frequently as this story unfolds. It is entitled, “Ukrainian efforts to sabotage Trump backfire.” Here is the link.
