We need only to remember the identity of the Mueller Report’s authors to know that it will be embarrassing to President Trump. Actions will be presented in such a manner, they will appear almost, but just short of, criminal. It will include lots of grey area – scenarios which can be interpreted (or misinterpreted) in any number of ways, depending on who is reading it. It was written to provide fodder for the House Democrats and the mainstream media who will grasp at any straws to keep the conspiracy going for another couple of years.
Why is no one talking about Trump’s rebuttal which is scheduled for release at 3 pm? Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and his staff have had lots of time to prepare it and every reason to make sure it packs a punch.
Most importantly, the release of the Mueller report today frees Trump from his prolonged, frustrating wait to declassify the documents we’ve all been waiting for. The President has been liberated and is now able to fight back. The FBI’s FISA Court applications, which we know depended upon a bogus dossier, the Gang of Eight information, the 302s of Bruce Ohr and other related documents are powerful weapons.
Have Democrats forgotten about this? Or, well aware that these documents lie in wait for them, are they simply hoping there’s some truth in the old adage that a strong offense is the best defense?
The left went into overdrive yesterday after it was announced that Attorney General William Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein would deliver a 9:30 press conference prior to the release of the report. My colleague, Streiff, posted here last night about the reaction. Streiff wrote:
From the tenor of the screeching you’d be correct in thinking that Barr’s press release has screwed with a plan coordinated between House Democrats and their many fluffers in the press to launch a blitz of pre-written takes on the report to set the narrative. Barr’s press conference ensures his interpretation gets discussed for about an hour before the Democrats get the report.
Liberals tend to forget the fact that Donald Trump is the President. As hard as they try not to recognize it, the fact remains. At the stroke of a pen, he can puncture the false narrative they’ve been peddling for nearly three years and this time, leave them no room to spin themselves out. This time, they will be the ones on the defense.
And they will learn two important lessons. Sometimes, in war, there comes a time when surrender remains the only option. And sometimes, the good guys win.
