Jerrold Nadler, the overweight Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, has an investigation fetish.  After he made a jackass of himself (and other Democrats) with the Robert Mueller testimony, he is moving onto other things.  Of course, there is the impending Trump impeachment investigation which, one surmises, will pick up as November 2020 nears.  But, there is another investigation he now hopes to begin.

There is pending legislation before the Committee called the ROOM Act because Congress likes to mangle the English language to create cute acronyms.  Among the many items in the bill are increased numbers of federal district judges, spelling out rules of recusal, and creation of a code of conduct for all federal judges, inclduing the Supreme Court.

Using the law as a pretext, Nadler sent a letter to the National Archives on August 6 requesting all Bush-era documents and emails relating or belonging to Brett Kavanaugh while he served in the Bush White House.  From 2001 to 2003, Kavanaugh served in the Counsel’s office and from 2003 to 2006 as staff secretary.  In that latter job, he was responsible for the flow of papers, memos and emails in the White House.  Thus, it is believed that the National Archives has 3.75 million pages of documents that probably passed through the hands of Brett Kavanaugh at some point.

Given that volume of documentation, the chances that Kavanaugh expressed some opinions on some subjects that some Committee members will disagree with are very good.  For example, the Left has already found something without rifling through 3.75 million pages.  Some on the Left are suggesting that Kavanaugh should recuse himself from any case involving abortion because once in a memo, he questioned whether Roe was “settled law.”  Disagreement with the Leftist thought police can land you in some serious trouble.

This has, from the conservative perspective, nothing to do with protecting Kavanaugh.  This has everything to do with the Left’s propensity to “do over” anything when it comes to Trump.  Sadly, this is not even Nadler’s idea.  He is being egged on by 26 liberal, pro-choice groups who signed a letter to him in April 2019 requesting that he do what he is now doing.

The red-robe-wearing freaks on the Left failed to derail his confirmation with their silly, over-the-top antics.  When they trotted out Blasey-Ford to make unsubstantiated allegations, they failed again.  They tried filing ethics charges against Kavanaugh- 83 in all.  When the Committee on Judicial Conduct and Disability dismissed all the complaints in December 2018, the Left had no recourse other than to appeal to Nadler.  Had the GOP retained control of the House in 2019, does anyone think these 26 liberal groups would be so righteous with their concerns?

Of course not and they found a willing fat boy to carry their water in the form of Nadler.  Now he hides behind the same righteousness in the name of advancing legislation by attacking a Supreme Court Justice that the Left does not happen to like.  Nadler does not even have the fortitude to state the true reasons for his latest fishing expedition.  He is a fat coward.

The sooner Nadler and his ilk are relegated to the minority in the House, the sooner these silly investigations will cease.  He is a petty fat man who has serious issues and delusions of grandeur.  America would be better served if Nadler was retired to a fat farm where he would be of better use to the country.
