FILE- In this Sept. 18, 2016 photo released by an official website of the office of the Iranian supreme leader, Revolutionary Guard Gen. Qassem Soleimani, center, attends a meeting with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Revolutionary Guard commanders in Tehran, Iran. Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard faces new sanctions from U.S. President Donald Trump as he has declined to re-certify the nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers. But what is this organization? (Office of the Iranian Supreme Leader via AP, File)
So one minute, Major General and Iranian Quds Force Commander, Qasem Soleimani, is busily getting his After Action Review (AAR) on the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Iraq from his commander on the ground. The two are also excitedly discussing their next operation. The next minute, he is in heaven awaiting Allah’s reward for his efforts on earth.
How did this come to pass? Well, it seems that the erstwhile General was holding this debriefing in Iraq, one of the countries covered in the Congressional Authorization For Use Of Force. It also appears that he may have taken President Trump’s earlier restraint regarding Iran’s downing of a U.S. drone, as a sign of weakness. Bad move.
So now Soleimani is waiting at the Pearly Gates for admission. Much to his surprise, up walks Saint Peter. “Welcome,” says St. Peter, throwing open the pearly gates, “we’ve been expecting you.”
As soon as Soleimani walks in, he sees George Washington. Without warning, Washington delivers a devastating uppercut to Soleimani’s jaw.
Stunned, Soleimani turns around to see Thomas Jefferson behind him. Jefferson raises a wooden cane and cracks it hard over Soleimani’s head.
Then Patrick Henry approaches, and without hesitation, kicks him in the groin.
One by one, scores of American Founding Fathers gather around and proceed to beat the hell out of Soleimani.
In agony, he cries out, “God, why? This was not what you promised me!”
He hears a deep voice rumble in reply:
“You didn’t listen.”
“I said, ‘72 Virginians.’”
