In a news conference covering a wide range of topics, Secretary of State Pompeo announced a direct reversal of the Obama policy stating Israeli West Bank Settlements were illegal.

Secretary Pompeo announced the new policy as, “The establishment of Israeli civilian settlements in the West Bank is not per se inconsistent with international law.”

This puts the onus on the Israel haters, forcing them to prove specific settlements are illegal as opposed to forcing Democracies such as the United States and Israel to prove they are not. More to follow as the nuances of this play out.
