Mueller and the Democrats weren’t the only losers yesterday. Like most on our team, I couldn’t help but have a little (OK…a LOT) of schadenfreude as I watched the entirety of the Mueller testimony. Far from being the steely eyed, iron jawed lawman of integrity portrayed by the left, he appeared to be a doddering old fool, not up to speed on his own work product, evasive and self righteous. At times I almost felt sorry for him.

Then I remembered that he was the titular head of an almost 3 year “investigation” that not only appears to have been started based on multiple lies made to a FISA Judge, but was also a last ditch attempt attempt by long time bureaucrats to unseat a duly elected President. So yesterday, the good guys won one, right?

Not so fast. The Department of Justice announced today that it is restarting the execution of Federal Death Row Convicts. Why do I bring that up here? It’s about confidence in our justice system…of which I have about zero right now. How can we have faith enough in the system to put a man to death, when we have the purported class of the league, the FBI, putting false information in front of FISA Judges?

I did 10 years as a Sheriff’s Deputy. Although we had our issues with the Feds, we also looked at the FBI as sort of the High Priesthood of Law Enforcement, the Gold Standard of process and procedure, not to mention the best crime lab in the World. Their reputation has now been well and truly sullied. The only way to even begin the process of getting it back, is by Attorney General Barr ensuring some heads roll—and I mean doing time…hard time.

They aren’t the biggest losers in all of this. The American People and our confidence in the integrity of our election system is. Yeah. The Russians interfered in our election, but nowhere near to the degree and effect that the leftists claim. Director Mueller was unable (or unwilling) to cite a single instance where votes were cast as a result of the Russian Troll Farm products or as a result of leaked e-mails by the criminal crone from Chappaqua. Not one.

As I’ve noted elsewhere however, the Russians won big time, with help from their like thinking fellow travelers, the press and the Democrat party. They never had any intention of helping one candidate over another. If they did, it would have been Clinton, for reasons I’ve stated previously. Their objective was to sow chaos and engender uncertainty. Well, they did that and to a fair thee well. This lightly funded operation, likely overseen by some GRU Lieutenant Colonel, has exceeded all expectations. For a few hundred thousand bucks, this guy has managed on a shoestring to sap energy of the Trump Administration for almost 3 years while destroying our confidence in our elections. Did the good guys win yesterday? Yep. But until we bring the conspirators to justice, it’s a pyrrhic victory at best. The real winners? Putin and a newly promoted General in the GRU. Thanks Democrats.
