Joe Biden Promises To Cure Cancer

I was up early this morning listening to different news programs. I just barely caught the end of a segment on Breitbart News daily. Host Alex Marlowe referred to former. Vice President Joe Biden said that if elected we would cure cancer. I wasn’t sure I heard right, but I was actually able to confirm the statement. From Fox News

Former Vice President Joe Biden made a bold promise on Tuesday to “cure cancer” if he is elected president in 2020

“That’s why I’ve worked so hard in my career to make sure that… I promise you if I’m elected president, you’re going to see the single most important thing that changes America, we’re gonna cure cancer,” Biden declared.

I’m not sure which way to take this one. On one hand, it smacks of using his dead son (who died of cancer) to score political points. Another side could be that he is just incredibly stupid. As any oncologist will tell you, cancer isn’t just one disease. It covers a whole range off afflictions. I’m not sure that we could cure (all) cancer, even if we put the entire Federal budget towards the effort.

Some of the talk show discussions I heard had conservatives demanding that the Democrats toss him from the Democrat Primary Race. Personally, I think that’s a bad idea. The last thing we want, is Biden to shut up. Let him talk…all the way to second place in 2020.
