Sen. Elizabeth Warren heads to New Hampshire still unsure who won Iowa. Nevertheless, she appears to be one of the survivors of the Democrat caucus debacle. But an old issue we have covered extensively seems to be following her.

Earlier this month, John DiStaso of WMUR news in Manchester, NH confronted Warren about her support for an Indian casino in Massachusetts despite her having opposed casino gambling throughout her career. Warren danced around the issue, but it is following her, for sure.

As Jim Geraghty of National Review has observed:

For quite a long while, Warren was a vocal skeptic, if not an outright staunch opponent, of legal gambling. (That happens to align with what I think!) And then she got in hot water over her claims of Native-American heritage, and then she moved to help a tribe in her home state get the authority to use land the way it wishes, which just happens to include plans to build an elaborate new destination resort casino in Taunton, Mass.

And now, the Coalition to Restore American Values has launched an ad campaign calling even more attention on that Indian casino deal – and more importantly, the troubling history of the tribe that would get the casino.

Here’s the digital ad, which we are told is running in Iowa, New Hampshire and Washington, DC:

The problem for Warren is that the casino deal is backed by a massive gaming concern out of Indonesia called Genting Malaysia. Genting is wrapped up in a sprawling government scandal in that country. And the tribe in question is the Mashpee Wampanoag. You may remember them from such scandals as the Jack Abramoff Indian lobbying scandal.

Warren is not only hypocritical in her support for the casino, she’s also hypocritical when she tisk tisks everyone under the sun for being corrupt. And voters in New Hampshire are starting to hear about it.
