It took a bit longer than I expected, but the inevitable happened – someone got banned for making a nasty comment on my diary on Racism, Voting and Ferguson, and they responded thusly:
From: xxxxxxxx
Subject: Your moderator is a racist
Date: August 25, 2014 at 5:42:57 AM MDT
To: “[email protected]” <[email protected]>
Bill S, listed as a moderator, who has been posting very non-conservative replies to many posters – something I pointed out – and has now written an article of how humiliated he has been by racism, when real, live white men have actually been deprived of a living by the “reverse” racism of affirmative action, has blocked me.
What? Is he your token, so that you can say you aren’t racists?
You don’t deserve to be called a conservative site.
True conservatives decry whining about being “humiliated” when their race is disproportionately involved in crimes and the “humiliation” is by those we entrust with preventing and enforcing crime.
True conservatives believe in personal responsibility and taking ownership of their lives, unless truly, improperly affected by liberal policies.
You guys suck.
“Is he your token“? BAHAHAHAHA! I’m about as pasty-white as they come, Mr./Mrs./Miss xxxxxxxx. Just to prove it, here is a partial of me:
Now I must admit, I am about 1/8 Cherokee Indian, so maybe that shows through in my diary somehow. But I doubt he/she/it would mistake the two. You can’t really tell from the picture, but whenever I get into the sun, my skin colors pretty quickly into a light/medium brown with a reddish tinge. GOOD HEAVENS. MAYBE I AM A TOKEN!
I do think it’s telling that Mr./Mrs./Miss xxxxxxxx would assume that I must be black if I believe a) there is racism, b) racism is bad, and c) conservatives shouldn’t be biased based on race. As I posted in the comments, this person pretty much proves my point and then reinforces it through email. Apparently xxxxxxxx believes that communicating in a way that’s not biased is somehow un-conservative. Hmmm.
As I tell my Redstate contributor colleagues, it’s always good when a banned person demonstrates to us via the Mailbag that we made the right decision. It happens all the time. So thanks, Mr./Mrs./Miss xxxxxxxx. You once again proved that our policies work.
