I Voted for This

Whenever you vote for someone to be the leader of the free world, you're voting to make sure said free world is protected, advancing, and prosperous. Every vote that is cast for President of the United States of America should be a vote for someone who is going to put America's interests first.

And you'll know if you succeeded when this president does things that, at least on the outset, look politically incorrect. When you're trying to look out for people who span an entire continent, the treatment that people and countries get that fall outside our borders isn't always going to look pretty, but when you have a country like ours, you don't have a choice.

Our blessed country is one of freedom, Judeo-Christian values, capitalism, and rights that are handed down from the One True God. Compared to other countries that have none of these things, we are a paradise. Even with all our issues, our country is a beacon of light.

And it should come as no surprise that there are dark forces out there who stand antithetical to all those values that want to snuff the light out. The trouble, for them, is that trying to do so through militaristic or even terroristic means is a one-way ticket to Hell. We're too powerful technologically and militarily. Large swaths of our population actually fantasize about an invasion because it means we get to practice our Second Amendment rights for the purest reason. The largest issue most of us would have is figuring out which gun we want to defend the homeland with because we're so spoiled for choice.

That doesn't make us invulnerable. Even though many of the nations that would love to destroy us are stuck in the third world, they know they can take advantage of America's own welcoming nature and the self-aggrandizing virtue signaling of leftists to get into the country and begin tearing it down from the inside.

And that's what they've been doing for some time now. The number of people who have come to our nation, not to partake in this great experiment by integrating and becoming Americans themselves, but came in hate to tear this entire thing down, is overwhelming.

As my colleague Rusty Weiss reported on Friday, the issue is beginning to boil over. After the shooting of two National Guardsmen, one of whom, Sarah Beckstrom, was killed, President Donald Trump declared that we're permanently pausing immigration from problem countries:

Trump's comments bear the hallmarks of the incredibly blunt, candid leader we've come to expect. Sarcasm runs throughout, as he begins his message: "A very Happy Thanksgiving salutation to all of our Great American Citizens and Patriots who have been so nice in allowing our country to be divided, disrupted, carved up, murdered, beaten, mugged, and laughed at, along with certain other foolish countries throughout the World, for being 'Politically Correct,' and just plain STUPID, when it comes to Immigration."

What follows, however, is a man who perfectly encapsulates the raw emotions we all feel when an entirely preventable tragedy unfolds before our eyes.

Trump argues that the immigration system is overwhelmed, something that has been obvious for decades. He contends that the system reached a breaking point under the previous administration when the country was run by a shadow team wielding an autopen as if a sword to the neck of the American people. And he points out that they, the American people, have put up with this for far too long.

This is the correct move, and one that's been a long time coming.

You're going to see reactions calling this un-American, but I'm here to say that this is one of the most American things I've seen a president do in the modern era. Trump vowed to protect the country from threats both foreign and domestic, and thanks to previous administrations, we have a population that is a strange mix of the two.

These people who come from countries that sport ideologies that are openly hostile to America have no business being here, and we're daily reminded of this through the hostility they show us and the deaths that result from that hostility. When you have people chanting "Death to America!" in American streets...

You know the problem has gotten so bad that they feel brazen enough to do so without fear. They're telling you, without confusion, what their intent for you is, and their willingness to tell you is proof that they feel buffered enough in numbers to carry it out.

The last thing we should be doing is helping those who want to burn America and all she stands for by adding to their own ranks by importing our enemies. Doing so is nothing but a civilization committing suicide for no other reason than it was convinced that this was the noble thing to do.

Let me be very clear: There is no virtue in sacrificing America to uphold a value that we have misinterpreted to ourselves over the course of decades, thanks to incessant media brainwashing and "intellectual" arguments that hold no water once exposed to true debate. There is no virtue in allowing an ideology to infect a free land that treats women as second-class citizens, brutally punishes those who break its laws, and kills all who don't conform to it exactly.

If we're going to maintain America and put her on the right path, our immigrants have to be Americans the moment they step off that boat or come across the border legally. They must be willing to forsake their former homeland, and if their ideologies are antithetical to the American way, then they've come to the wrong country.

Being the land of the free does not mean others are free to come here and destroy others' freedom.

What Trump just did... I voted for this.
