By now, you've likely heard about the murder of the Ukrainian refugee, Iryna Zarutska, here in America.
Footage of the incident is now circulating widely online. I won't post it here, but if you haven't seen it, it's awful to watch. The man rises, stabs Zarutska several times in the neck, and she can only look up at him in shock and fear as he walks away. She slowly loses consciousness as she bleeds out and collapses in the seat to the floor.
This is something that should've never happened, not in the sense of this being an atrocious act, but because this man had 14 prior arrests and was still roaming the streets.
As Bonchie recently commented in his article, Greg Gutfeld brought up the fact that the Democrats are hiding behind the idea of mental illness, which is absolutely true:

When he comes from behind with a knife, that's not insane. He minimizes her ability to inflict harm on him. When the thug flees, that's sane because he knows if he stays, he'll be arrested. So what would be insane would be if he were to face off against a man without a weapon. Somebody like a Tyrus. That would be insane. You'd go, "Okay, that's crazy." But almost all the people who do this stuff, they go after women. That is not insane, that's self-preservation.

Before I continue, I want to point out just how sneaky the left is with its use of the term "mental illness."
Have you noticed that the left loves to use the term with criminals, as Gutfeld points out, but when it comes to something like mass shooters, they want the term completely erased from the conversation? Bringing it up in the context of repeat criminals, especially non-white ones, allows them to remove the blame from the criminal and replace it with sympathy. Moreover, in a way, it takes the blame off Democrats for the results of their soft-on-crime policies.
"It's not his fault, he's not a criminal, and we're compassionate enough to understand that," is the vibe they want you to get, at least about them. Of course, mental illness goes out the door during a mass shooting because the use of a firearm needs to be a fully conscious, well-thought-out decision, so that gun control can be pushed. If it's clear that the shooter was mentally ill, such as the recent transgender shooter in Minneapolis, the story goes dark as quietly as possible, as quickly as possible.
But there's a point buried within the point that I want to bring out here, and it's that these soft-on-crime policies are swiftly becoming undeniable, and Gutfeld highlighted it perfectly.
These criminals that Democrats are showing so much compassion to rarely target men. It happens, but it's rare.
Their primary targets are women. Usually helpless, alone or without protection, and easy to maim, kill, or rape.
Even with mental illness on the table, these aren't accidents. They know what they're doing.
If Democrats truly cared about women like they said, then it's unclear why they would continue to allow these soft-on-crime policies to continue.
Now, we know they don't actually care about women. Their actions against women when it comes to the transgender issue are clear on that, but this "party of women" sure seems to want to go silent about women when repeat criminals are involved, including illegal immigrants.
I think it's time women start having the conversation with one another in earnest about where their best interests lie politically, because women are the most affected by all of these policies. They're the ones primarily being victimized by them, because the Democrats refuse to acknowledge them as victims of their own policies, choosing instead to give that grace to the criminals doing the assaulting.
This isn't just about women's spaces being invaded; this is their very lives on the line. Democrats need to answer for this, and women need to be the ones demanding it of them.
