Dear AOC, Being Rich Beats Being Useless

New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is one of those politicians who has few uses, but the ones she does have don't really serve her own party. I can tell where the left's head is really at based on what she says. As the de facto chief clown of "The Squad," the most radical refuse in the bin, AOC tends to speak like a Redditor, the world as told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Right now, the Democrat Party and the left, in general, are hyperfocused on Elon Musk, so much so that I think they have a secret crush on him. Leftists are known for wanting to be governed hard, and the more they accuse Musk of being in full control of the government, the more I think their "complaining" is just distracting themselves from their urge to call him "daddy."

Of course, Musk isn't in control at all. He's just the bloodhound. Trump is the hunter with the gun.

Of all the Democrats out there, AOC is crushing on Musk the hardest. On Wednesday night, she gave a speech at a rally badmouthing Musk's wealth, saying "he thinks he has a bank account with a lot of zeros in it, that it makes him some kind of super-citizen.”

This falls in line with AOC's usual "eat the rich" position that has her popular among Redditors and BlueSky users, but for everyone else, it's just more eye roll-worthy college Marxist talk.

Musk's zeroes don't make him a super citizen. What he does with those zeroes absolutely does.

His zeroes launch rockets, build cars, provide jobs, plays a part in human technological advancement, and helped get a man elected that is now fulfilling my personal wish-list of things I wanted to happen to our government. Musk's continued assistance to the United States of America and his advancing of humanity through technological development and assistance in practicing our literal right to free speech is what makes him a super citizen.

Usefulness makes him better than a lot of people, including AOC.

AOC's accomplishments include getting elected and... that's about it. Her popularity among her own party members is abysmal, with Democrats choosing 74-year-old northern Virginia representative Gerry Connolly as ranking member of the Oversight and Accountability Committee by a 131 to 84 vote. Connolly is in the midst of chemotherapy and immunotherapy for esophagus cancer, and they still wanted him over the young bartender.

And what's in AOC's trophy case after six years in congress? She made Democrats want to try their hand at going live on social media for a short time — which was absolutely disastrous — and she unintentionally made a hilarious picture of herself crying at the border that the right's gotten continued use out of since 2019. That's about it.

Musk launches rocket ships. AOC launches memes, albeit unintentionally.

AOC and people like are a superb example of the worst parts of first world ignorance and entitlement. While Musk is actually out there doing things that help the people, AOC is trying to convince everyone that being rich is a social sin while she wears expensive clothing and complains that things aren't how she wants them to be. She contributes nothing while she finger-wags at the people who actually do.

And I think, deep down, that's where AOC's real beef with Musk lies, as well as every other leftist like her. He's actually moving a lot of needles. She's mad at the results the man is getting because her way of doing things isn't doing anything, despite being told all her life that changes made on her whim was something she was entitled to. Every time Elon opens his mouth, the world improves, every time AOC opens hers, she contributes to the carbon content of the atmosphere, and not much else.

An idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

AOC will always have her useful idiots backing her, and there will always be people who benefit from having someone like her in office, so I have no doubt that she'll continue to be a feature in the Democrat Party for some time, lest her district actually figure out that she's actually about as useful as a realistic thought in a BlueSky message thread.

Until then, I actually hope she continues to be a presence in American politics. I'd really hate for it to lose entertainment value.
