The DNC Just Gave Trump the Greatest Inauguration Gift He Could Imagine

The hits just keep on coming for the Democrats, and as is the pattern for the past few years, the hits are mostly delivered to themselves.

According to a statement from the Democrats, they're creating a new version of "Attack Watch," an effort developed by the Obama administration to tackle misinformation. Back then, the website was meant to encourage people to report various claims made by people so that the site could address them correctly. The site was wiped out after it was mocked into oblivion by Misfit Politics in 2011, a website I created and ran at the time.

Some of you may remember the video we created that went viral and triggered a mass mocking campaign that forced the site to cease operations.

Now imagine Attack Watch, but make the people running it even more incompetent.

According to a statement from the Democrats, the new effort will be called "FactPostNews" which will effectively be the same thing, but this will be ran by one of the worst social media teams the Democrats ever deployed:

“The Democratic National Committee is tapping veterans of the wildly popular @KamalaHQ social media team for a new rapid response push ahead of Donald Trump’s return to office. … The new rapid response @FactPostNews initiative will try to combat online misinformation and respond to Trump administration actions by pushing out memes, videos and graphics. … The DNC is also teeing up fresh economic attacks on Trump as he takes office, per a memo obtained by Axios.”

That's right. The KamalaHQ team will now be shifted to run FactPostNews. In other words, the team that failed to get Harris across the finish line will now fail to stop Trump from accomplishing what the people voted him in to do.

Brilliant.

During the election, I often targeted the KamalaHQ X account for its willingness to not only lie, but commit to simple fact checks that wouldn't just save itself the headache of embarrassment but also, not look the woman they claim to represent look as bad. I often guessed that the people running the count were inexperienced Gen Z post-grads, and sure enough, I was proven right.

The KamalaHQ team didn't have much experience running a major social media account, much less one that dealt in politics. They treated it so haphazardly that they made claims that could have gotten them into legal trouble, and did after Tim Pool sued the campaign after KamalaHQ claimed Pool backed Project 2025 and that he was advocating for the execution of Trump's political enemies.

Professionals, these kids are not.

Moreover, as the campaign collapsed, KamalaHQ's posts became just as unhinged, resulting in X users bombarding it with mocking posts and responses, and even community notes hammered the account. An account was developed on X called "KamalaHQLies" specifically designed to respond to every accusation and claim the HQ account made, and did so well in combatting the account's lies that it would sometimes receive more attention than the actual HQ post.

Yet despite all this, the Democrats believe that this team is fit to take on the Trump administration.

“The Republican disinformation machine is powerful, but we believe a stronger weapon is giving people the facts about how Trump and his administration are screwing over the American people,” DNC chief mobilization officer Shelby Cole said.

This only solidifies something I've been saying about the DNC lately.

The Democrats are still playing by an old strategy that no longer has any relevance in today's world. If Twitter was still owned and operated by radical leftists, KamalaHQ might have been a far more powerful account. If the legacy media were still the uncontested gatekeepers of information, then this announcement might have a bit more weight to it.

But this is a new age. Freedom of information is now the name of the game, and fact-checkers aren't as powerful as they once were because they don't have narrative control anymore. Now, fact-checking is done by the people in real time. No matter how "rapid response" the Democrats think this new anti-Trump account will be, the people will always be faster.

There is no lie the account can tell that won't be denounced and destroyed immediately.

Moreover, just like it did before, it's only going to embarrass and complicated the Democrat Party's cause. If it goes as far as it did last time, it very well could wind up getting into legal trouble.

I have no doubt that this account will have its fans among the rabid anti-Trump crowd and even some of the uninformed, but I can't help but imagine that this account will not have the weight the DNC hopes it will. From my perspective, I think they're going back to this well because the DNC is largely blind about this new age of the internet and are slow to realize what it entails due to its old leadership.

All they see are kids who know how to use the internet.

I can't think of a better gift for Trump's inauguration than this.
