Disney has been showing signs that they're backing down in the culture war after you, the American people, gave them a walloping that hasn't let up and won't let up until some seriously drastic changes are made at the House that Walt Built.
In August, I reported that Chris Gore, a man with connections inside Disney, said that Marvel had apparently begun cleaning house and fired many employees that could be considered "activists." While we still might get a few woke creations as the already completed productions are cleared out, ultimately you should start seeing a depoliticized Marvel.
Some things that ended up happening indicated this was true. Various Marvel movies went through severe rewrites and reshoots, costing far more money that could never be made up at the box office. This often led to some of the movies feeling disjointed.

Of course, these were all just reports, but now we have tangible proof that Disney is throwing in the towel in the culture war.
According to Variety, Disney/Pixar's upcoming long-form series "Win or Lose" had what was a "transgender storyline" in it that Disney has cut completely. The series revolved around a softball team and followed the players' person lives:
Debuting in 2025, “Win or Lose” will follow the members of a co-ed middle school softball team as they gear up for their championship game. Each episode follows a different character, and the show is intended to focus on varied perspectives — including “the insecure kids, their helicopter parents, even a lovesick umpire” per the official logline — but a trans perspective will no longer be highlighted. A source tells Variety that references to one of the characters’ gender identity was removed, affecting a few lines of dialogue in the show’s later episodes, though it appears that there was not a full episode devoted to the subject matter. The formerly trans role is voiced by 18-year-old trans actress Chanel Stewart.
But that's not all. There is a verbal admission that transgender messaging isn't something Disney should involve itself in, instead leaving such conversations up to the parents:
“When it comes to animated content for a younger audience, we recognize that many parents would prefer to discuss certain subjects with their children on their own terms and timeline,” said a spokesperson for Disney.
Checkmate. You win.
You have beaten Disney, and that singular line from the Disney spox is proof.
Think back to not that long ago when Disney was ready to go to war with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis over what they called the "Don't Say Gay Bill." Disney openly vowed to fight against DeSantis and the Republicans in Florida who were introducing what, in reality, was called the "Parental Rights In Education" bill.
DeSantis mentioned that the then-CEO of Disney, Bob Chapek, admitted that he didn't want to drag Disney into this fight but that he was being "pressured" to do so. DeSantis tried to talk Chapek out of it, saying the woke mob will move on to something else in a matter of days, but Chapek caved to the left, resulting in the war between Disney and Florida, which Disney lost big on and moreover, lost the American people in.
During that brief war, Disney's goal was to influence the opinion of the people into going against the "Parental Rights In Education Bill," directly inserting itself into the political process. As a result, DeSantis stripped Disney of its Reedy Creek Improvement District, a 27,000 acre territory and a special tax district for Disney. Moreover, and most importantly, all of this was done to the sound of applause from the American people.
The sting of that entire debacle seems to have taught Disney a few things. For one, don't inject yourself into the political process, and two, don't mess with American parents. Disney might be a children's entertainment company at its core, but that doesn't mean it has any say over America's children. That's a lesson that apparently had to be taught the hard way, as Disney's hubris had clearly outstripped its sense.
But this recent news highlights the difference between today's Disney, and 2022/2023 Disney. They were more than happy to shove LGBT and transgender agenda items in your child's face. Now, they're backing away from it, and openly saying that this is a conversation between you and your child. Disney will stay out of it, and away from the topic.
Congratulations. That scalp belongs to you.
