The Death Cult Rears Its Ugly Head Atop the Murder of Brian Thompson

The unofficial motto of the left has been and will always be "it's okay when we do it."

No matter what it gets angry at the right for, accuses it of, or is outraged over, the left is either doing it right at that moment behind the scenes, had just gotten done doing it, or will be doing it very soon. The difference is that when they do it, they won't even acknowledge their hypocrisy or give any indication that their actions are wrong.

In fact, they'll celebrate it openly.

The murder of Brian Thompson is one such event. Luigi Mangione, Thompson's alleged murderer, became an overnight star once his identity was the prime suspect in the murder was revealed. The man is currently being paraded as a handsome vigilante, especially by thirsty leftist women, who are openly fawning over him and demanding his release.

Case in point, on Wednesday, I reported about a segment Jimmy Kimmel did on his show that showed his own staff exchanging messages about his attractiveness and what they would like to do for and possibly with him. Keep in mind, this is the same Kimmel that cries because he thinks Donald Trump is going to hurt people, and even got choked up when Cecil the lion was shot in 2015.

As I said, this is being pardoned, not just because the shooter is supposedly attractive, but because he allegedly murdered someone the left considers worthy of being murdered. Mangione is being hailed as a hero for doing something many people have thought about, and in a world where too many people consider a successful businessman at the top of a company to be evil by virtue of simply being rich and successful thanks to Marxist indoctrination, people are willing to throw a parade for Mangione.

As I write this, the left is beyond furious at Daniel Penny and calling for retribution against him and others because of the death of Jordan Neely. Penny was just acting to protect people from Neely, a repeat violent criminal. Penny was clearly the good guy in this situation, and a jury thankfully agreed. Yet, despite this, the left is acting as if Penny got away with murder and is outraged that such a system would exist that would allow something like this to happen.

However, according to them, it's perfectly okay to kill a CEO of a company you don't like. It's okay to openly celebrate murder because the right person, someone who rubs against your ideology the wrong way, was the one killed.

Moreover, this is so openly praised as a good thing that members of the left thought "one is good, more would be better." Now WANTED posters are going up in New York featuring the faces and information of CEOs, effectively advocating for their murder.

To the left, this isn't just okay, this is noble. Someone said something very poignant to me about this topic, and it perfectly encapsulates how the left views its own violence. They see speech as violence when it comes out of the mouths of anyone they don't like, however, their violence is somehow speech.

That's a kind of delusion that is hard to shake out of someone. Murder apparently isn't murder, it's a statement.

But the left is showing how short-sighted it is. Thompson's murder isn't going to make the healthcare industry stop and examine its ways, or suddenly have a change of heart and conduct business more honorably. It's just going to make CEOs hire bodyguards. Thompson is already replaced by a new person. Things will keep on going as they always did.

True change happens thanks to hard work, time, and innovation. Change that comes from murder is actually negligible unless that murder happens to be a world leader or a feudal lord.

To be clear, I absolutely understand the anger and disdain for insurance companies. They're definitively in need of serious reform, and some of the things they get away with are absolutely criminal. However, this doesn't justify murdering someone in cold blood. Thompson's death will result in some mourning friends and family, but no real change. In fact, I can see companies taking no change at all because they don't want to give the impression that all you need to do in order to force them to make changes for the better is kill one of them.

But let's face facts, the left doesn't care about making change for the better. They've demonstrated that to no end. This was scratching an emotional and ideological itch. Pure and simple.

And because this is based on emotion and not logic, their justification for celebrating Thompson's death isn't going to register as hypocrisy in their minds.

It's okay when they do it.
