The Kamala Harris/Tim Walz interview did not go well. Between Harris's word salad moments and Tim Walz's dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge strategy for answering his stolen valor allegations, the edited interview with CNN was kind of a disaster.
But you don't have to take my word for it, ask the gambling community what they thought about it.
Let's revisit Polymarket, a massive gambling website, and look at what's going on there. During Harris's interview with CNN's Dana Bash, both she and Trump were sitting at 49 percent evenly. By Friday morning, that number has now changed and Trump is up to 50 percent while Harris remains at 49 percent.

Here's the fascinating thing about these numbers. This has happened before after a Harris appearance. As I reported last week, the before and after of the DNC on Polymarket was similar, with Trump pulling ahead of Harris after she gave a speech and the Democrat Party pulled out all the stops to make it seem as if Harris was the greatest candidate of all time.
Before the DNC, Trump was at 44 percent while Harris was at 54, by the time it ended Trump was at 53 percent while Harris had dropped to 46 percent.

What does this tell us?
It says that whenever Harris gets in front of a working camera and is on-screen for more than a few minutes, a bad taste begins to develop in the mouths of people who look on.
Let's look at the big picture here and then ask ourselves a question.
This was a CNN interview, a corporate news network that's so friendly to the Democrat Party that it qualifies as a stage-five clinger. I have little doubt that at least some of the questions were given to the Harris campaign beforehand, and they had days and days to practice their responses. This was supposed to make Harris and Walz look good.
Yet, it didn't. While it may fool some of the uninformed voters out there — which is sadly a lot — anyone paying a lick of attention is not going to be impressed. They looked odd, disorganized, and unprepared.
If a CNN interview went this badly... how is Harris going to fair against Trump. If Walz can't answer a simple question about his stolen valor allegations, how is he going to do against J.D. Vance, a man who served out his term in the military?
I don't know how Harris withstands a Trump verbal assault on a stage where she's not going to have cuts and edits to make her look better. She's not going to be able to stop and center herself in the heat of the moment to put her head back on straight to avoid her famous cackle and word salad problem.
One has to wonder if we'll see a second round of Democrat cold feet after the upcoming debates. Trump destroyed Biden so well because Biden helped destroy himself, and I can't imagine Harris's attempt being any different.
I wonder what the betting odds will look like then.
