Lauren Boebert and Russell Brand Are Proof the Media's Gun Only Points One Way

It's hard to get me to pay attention to politics on football Sunday, but something caught my attention that disgusted me. It was a video from Gary Beuchler of Nerdrotic checking out a local newsstand in the UK where nearly every paper contained therein featured the face of Russell Brand and the word "rape" occurring somewhere near his photo in bold text.

You've seen this before. The left is a big fan of ignoring rape and grooming...until one becomes useful. Since Brand has become something of a right-leaning commentator who defies mainstream media and leftist narratives on his show on Rumble, Brand's rising star in the political world has become a problem for the left. As such, he's got to go.

Thus, you can see what Beuchler saw on the newsstand. What you see in his video is narrative creation by the media to destroy Brand with an accusation of rape and grooming a minor. All they have to do is normalize the message that Brand is a rapist and, according to the public, he will be. They need not worry about a trial proving him not guilty. In today's society, an accusation is a scarlet letter.

According to the BBC, the accusations come from three different women, one of whom claims to have been 16 years old at the time of the rape. All three allegedly occurred between the years of 2006 and 2013. As I said when it came to the Danny Masterson trial, I don't know what the truth is, but I do know that the timing of the accusations is a little sketchy. These events allegedly happened years in the past but are only surfacing now. The question is why.

I don't know if Brand is guilty because no one has seen any evidence of these claims as of this writing. However, what I do know is that if the media reported that water was wet, it would give me serious doubts, especially if the media was creating headlines about it all at the same time.

Brand must be saying or doing something that has the left nervous. He must be onto something they'd rather you not think or talk about. I've never seen the media get this focused unless there was some benefit to them or the left, and right now, it must benefit the left to have Brand discredited and destroyed, if possible.

Maybe it has nothing to do with Brand. Perhaps the left is trying to generate another #MeToo movement just in time for the 2024 election. Perhaps it's trying to target a Rumble star in order to paint the entire platform as a haven for horrible people. Maybe it's none of those, maybe it's all of those. The bottom line is that the left, and only the left, have too much to gain from Brand's destruction.

Does the media care if Brand is committing sexual crimes? Well, they certainly didn't care when actor Ezra Miller was doing it. In fact, he's still in movies. Miller isn't concerning to the leftist machine, so it has no reason to try to destroy him.

Let's depart Brand for a moment and focus on Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, who is also in the news right now over some sexual deviancy. As my colleague Jeff Charles reported, Boebert was kicked out of a theater during an off-Broadway performance of Beetlejuice.

The initial reports were that Boebert got kicked out of the theater for vaping, but then it was soon discovered that she and her date were busy getting handsy in the theater with one another. As Charles reported, simply typing "Boebert" into Google would get you headlines from every major alphabet organization about the incident.

I'm not going to defend Boebert's behavior, and, to be honest, if I was sitting near them, I'd have been distracted and annoyed. Regardless, is this worth the attention the media is giving it?

To answer that, let's look at what the media isn't giving attention to.

Where is Epstein's client list, and how come the media hasn't been focusing hardcore on what is easily the most explosive scandal of the century? You're going to tell me you have camera footage of Boebert during a play but no footage of someone bringing cocaine into the White House?

Moreover, it's hard for me to take the media's pearl-clutching seriously over Boebert getting fondled in a darkened theater when they fall over themselves to applaud a man dressing up as a woman and dancing provocatively in front of children. Yet these same media outlets are outraged about the immoral actions of a Republican congresswoman. In fact, they're so outraged about Boebert that I guess they forget that there are actual images and footage of the President's son doing hard drugs with hookers.

Brand and Boebert are a distraction. There are very real issues and very real crimes happening in the highest tiers of the Western power structure, and the people at the top are trying to bread-and-circus their way out of trouble with boob grabs and accusations of crimes of years past. Even if Brand is guilty and Boebert is a deviant, it hardly compares to what the Biden family is accused of, the weaponization of our justice system, the Epstein client list, and more. Punish the guilty if they're guilty, sure, but let's keep things in focus.

If the media is simultaneously reporting on something shocking, it's doing it because it's trying to distract you from something else. They're trying to condition you to focus on the right hand while the left hand operates furtively.

Don't let the media manipulate you.

Media manipulation is a serious problem and one that RedState covers all the time. In fact, not long ago I wrote about how the media will even sell you products by making ads look just like official articles.

Exposing the media's manipulation is kind of a hobby here at RedState, and that's why we're continuously attacked by the media ourselves. The number of times they've attempted to censor us by killing our ad revenue would make your head spin. Luckily, we have you and the RedState VIP program, which we encourage you to sign up for and help us stay in the fight. When they try to silence us, your subscriptions shield us from their censorship attempts. It really does help, and with the media going into overdrive to protect the left for the 2024 elections, they're really going to turn up the heat.

Cool. So will we.
