The DNC Has to Get Rid of Kamala Harris

I'm not in the business of trying to help Democrats, so when I say that they need to ditch Kamala Harris as President Joe Biden's VP, I'm coming at this from the perspective of a man trying to do damage control for his already damaged country.

Let's face facts. Biden is not going to make it another four years, and while I have my doubts that Democrats will emerge the winners of the 2024 election, I've been surprised before...twice, in fact. I didn't think Biden could win against Trump in 2020 (still debatable) and I thought a red wave was coming in 2022.

But I digress.

Biden isn't in his right mind and that's an undeniable fact. The media might try to paint him as spry and capable all day long, but this man isn't meant to be shaking hands with invisible people on stage before being hustled away from the press, he's meant to be falling asleep to the Golf Channel in his lazy chair with an afghan blanket on his lap. This man is so past his prime he's lost sight of it.

This means that Harris is on deck. The moment the Democrats have to give up the act and remove Biden from his position as head puppet, Harris will take up his dwindling torch and begin lighting everything on fire with it. While I think Harris is as big of a useful tool as Biden is to the DNC, she's far more spry than he is and capable of at least pushing back a little.

Rest assured, this will be disastrous for everyone.

When Biden first announced Harris was his running mate, it was pretty clear the choice was made because of her identity, not her merit. In fact, as I said at the time, I was pretty sure Harris was going to sink his campaign because she had already sunk hers very quickly.

I mean...Tulsi Gabbard might have helped a little.

What Gabbard highlighted on that debate stage carried a simple message; Harris is uncaring and incompetent. She's no stranger to corruption and abusing the justice system for her own benefit.

True enough, the Democrat Party has taken on some very Harris-like qualities since Biden got into office. You can ask Trump about that.

No one seems to like Harris, not even the Democrats, but for different reasons. As my colleague Jeff Charles wrote, Democrats are seeing the danger Harris poses to their power going into 2024 and are begging the Biden campaign to remove her as his future VP. This comes with dangers as doing so will inevitably result in the campaign getting accusations they were trying to avoid by bringing on Harris in the first place.

The administration will be accused of sexism and racism, and you can bet various groups on the left will use that to get their way such as teacher's unions, racial activist groups, and women's groups. Still, Harris's popularity among voters is dropping like a rock:

In June, Harris hit a record low for vice presidents, with a paltry 32 percent of respondents indicating they held a positive view of the VP.

The Democrats might be scared that Harris will bring down the Biden campaign but it betrays a deeper concern. They're not exactly confident in her ability either and, should Biden win and then depart office, Harris would step up and immediately change the power dynamic in the DNC. Her incompetence would further damage its already demolished reputation and the entire system the left has for keeping power would collapse under the people's anger.

Moreover, when the debates go down, Harris is going to be used as a cudgel with which to beat Biden. What has she done to help? Why does she speak about as well as Biden? Why does she laugh at inappropriate times? What has she accomplished during her time as VP?

None of these questions are ones the DNC wants to answer because there are no answers that look good.

So, the Democrats and the American people find themselves in agreement for once. Harris is bad news. America doesn't want her because she's about as useful as a campfire in Hell, and we're pretty sure having her in charge would further collapse our weakened economy. The Democrats don't want her because her inability to accomplish anything would make the Democrat machine even more unpopular and, on top of that, Harris has the ability to push back in a way Biden doesn't.

Yes, Biden said that Harris is his running mate, but perhaps the DNC needs to call an audible and make a play change that can please the most people.

The bottom line is that we've had it very bad under Biden, but I can only predict it will get much worse under Harris, and she has to go.
