The Super Bowl was filled with a lot of thrills and chills, but it was also the scene of one of the most wholesome moments that you’ll see all year.
As many people know, Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce of the Philidelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs respectively, both played their hearts out during the most important game of the year. Looking on and beaming with pride at both of her sons was mom Donna Kelce, who wore a jacket that sported both team’s colors and logos on either side along with her son’s names and jersey numbers.
After the Chiefs claimed victory, Donna went down to the field and congratulated Travis for winning such a great victory. However, it was afterward that she found her son Jason who was clearly going through it after having lost. The moment between the two was captured and spread to the internet.
It was a simple moment of a mother comforting her son, but it spoke volumes to all who saw it. No matter how big or famous you are, sometimes you just need a hug from your mom. Jason definitely needed one, and he got it.

The moment between the two was recounted on the Kelce brothers’ podcast “New Heights” where the duo began talking about their mother. What resulted was two men tearing up over her support and love.
“The moment when I saw mom is when I got really emotional,” said Jason. “Because…man, it was so awesome…”
Jason had to pause as tears began welling up in his eyes. As he attempted to settle himself, Travis cut in with an “alright now” to add some humor to the situation, but he began wiping away tears himself.
“It was awesome for…you know, she was on top of the world for a week,” said Jason, tears streaming down his face.
“She was the heavyweight champ, man,” said Travis, crying himself. “She was on top of it and she shined the entire time, man. That was the coolest part.”
“Mom, you absolutely killed it. Dad, you’ve been killing it,” said Travis.
The two expressed gratefulness over their mother being able to celebrate that massive moment with them.
“Ironically, you lose the Super Bowl and you’re crying after the game, and they’re not tears of sadness, they’re tears of joy,” said Jason.

There’s nothing like a supportive mom cheering you on from the sidelines. To have that kind of support clearly means everything to the Kelce brothers, and I’m sure a great many of us can relate.
