Clinical psychologist and hero to many, Dr. Jordan Peterson, trended on Twitter again, this time over the fact that Olivia Wilde’s new movie, “Don’t Worry Darling,” modeled an “insane” character out of Peterson.
Peterson was asked about this during an interview with Piers Morgan on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” where the good doctor became slightly emotional after being labeled a “hero to incels.” As he explained, he didn’t necessarily get upset at the jab by Wilde as he’s used to those, and responded to it with a level of humor, but over the many men who have come to him broken and beaten by today’s society.
“It’s really something to see…constantly how many people are dying for lack of an encouraging word,” said Peterson fighting back tears.
"People have been after me for a long time… I thought the marginalised were supposed to have a voice?"

His haters naturally responded with all the venom they could from this, but soon Peterson got a lot of support from big names.
“So just to get this straight, Jordan Peterson is a Very Bad Man™ because he tries to help young men who need guidance; Olivia Wilde is a Feminist Hero™ because she hates Jordan Peterson, but also apparently creates an uncomfortable work environment for her female star,” tweeted the Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro.

Shapiro is referencing actress Florence Pugh’s reported issues with the film being full of nothing but pure tension that got so bad that she wouldn’t even attend various parts of the media tour for the picture and did very little promotion for it.
Another defense came from Megyn Kelly who came down on Wilde harshly for her take on Peterson, a man whose entire job is to help people who need it.
“In 2019, men accounted for 80 percent of all suicide deaths in America,” said Kelly.
She added that a majority of those who did commit suicide had no history of mental illness, and noted that many of them do so because they have no one to talk to about their issues. When someone does speak out, like Peterson, they’re attacked as you’re seeing now, such as being featured as an insane character in an Olivia Wilde movie.
“Screw her,” she said. “As somebody who was at the inception of #MeToo movement…and by the way, Olivia Wilde, you were not one of them.”

Peterson has endured attacks such as Wilde’s in the past by pop-culture writers. Marvel comics once had the Captain America villain “Red Skull” represent some of Peterson’s ideals as if they could fit easily into the Nazi ideology. It was an idea that Peterson found hilariously bad.
Plainly, Peterson isn’t doing anything worth being attacked over, and yet he’s being attacked by the left, including leftists in culturally relevant positions. As Kelly noted, men are in danger of being isolated and depressed in today’s society. This is just fine for the left as they go above and beyond to make men seem like societal villains, at fault for everything wrong that happens under the sun.
So these leftists attack people who want to help men become mentally healthier as they create unhealthy environments around them.
The truth is, men need emotional support. Their status as “masculine” doesn’t supersede their humanity. Those who wish to provide that help should be helped themselves, not attacked.
