Nexus Mods Bans Creator of Mod That Changes LGBT Flags Into American Flags but Its Hypocrisy Is Now on Display

Nexus Mods is a site that contains a library of mods you can make to video games that range from simple reskinning of characters and objects to major changes in behaviors to the game itself.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is one such game that the modding community decided to tackle, but among them was a person who decided to do something that would upset the woke leftists on the site, especially the people who run it.

According to Bounding Into Comics, the user “Mike Hawk” created a mod called “Non-Newtonian New York” which would replace all the LGBT flags in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered with American flags.

“Tired of Sir Isaac shoving his fancy light show in your face everywhere? This removes them and replaces them with the stars and stripes,” read the description of the mod.

This was accompanied by a picture of Sir Issac Newton discovering the light spectrum, represented by a rainbow of color. The obvious joke here is that it gets rid of the LGBT flags.

Nexus Mods took the mod down, but not before it had over 300 downloads. The site decided to virtue signal using the incident, called the user a “coward” and a “troll,” and made the usual bowing motions toward the social justice community with promises to “do better”:

In regards to the replacement of Pride flags in this game, or any game, our policy is thus: we are for inclusivity, we are for diversity. If we think someone is uploading a mod on our site with the intent to deliberately be against inclusivity and/or diversity then we will take action against it. The same goes for people attempting to troll other users with mods deliberately to cause a rise. For our part, we will endeavour to do a better job of moderating our website to this ethos ourselves.

There’s still no proof that the user did so in order to be a “troll.” Using a mod to delete flags from a group you might not agree with isn’t necessarily a crime, and users should be free to do what they want within the bounds of the game they bought on the computer they own.

Nexus Mods certainly seems happy enough to allow the elimination of American flags in the very same game, despite the fact that it could be considered offensive to patriotic Americans or those who actually fought for and served this country.

As you can see on the site, a mod exists for the game called “Colorful New York” which takes every flag in the game and turns it into an LGBT flag. As of this writing, the mod is still up and isn’t likely to come down. Also as of this writing, it has half the downloads “Non-Newtonian” New York had before it was taken down.

The people who run the site have very clear cowardice themselves as they will not enforce their rules equally in order to avoid trouble from the online mobs that would undoubtedly throw a tantrum if they did. Not that they should be enforcing censorship of this nature anyway.
